y/n had been talking to james about her and mary's day at hogsmeade, james wouldve went but he had to catch up on his herbology work since he decided to skip that class and pretend to be sick. y/n had been talking to him for 20 minutes as he just hummed in response.

"i'm sorry love my girls were distracting me" james whined laying his head on his arm looking up at y/n, "i'm listening now" he says then smiles sweetly. "are you sure? if you don't i'm putting on my jumper" y/n threatened making james whine.
"promise i won't get distracted again! go on, you and mary were at three broomsticks" james said smiling—reaching the hand his head wasn't laying on to grab y/n's hand as she uncrossed her arms. he rubbed his thumb in circles on her hand as she started talking
