"It feels so refreshing.."

Y/n dropped her body on the couch, Ayame and Komori's couch. She was staying over just until she could find her own place. Sakusa said he didn't mind her sleeping in her house and that he had an extra room to spare but she declined, saying that he didn't want to be too much bother. As well as Hoshiumi saying to not be nice to be sleeping in the same house as the "enemy."

"Y/n, your phone is ringing!" Ayame called out from the kitchen, Y/n letting out a sigh before walking herself to where her phone was ringing. "It's an unknown number by the way." Ayame slid the phone over to Y/n, her hand reaching to the table and picking up her phone.

"Hello?"

"L/n! This is Mitsuo Fujita, I was just calling to see if you're able to come by and resign the papers, I gave them to my assistant and she misplaced them and now we can't find them. I'm sorry about this."

Y/n's jaw slightly dropped. "Oh sure, i'll come by soon!" she said, Ayame giving her a look. "Great, i'll see you then." the call ended no more than a few seconds later, Y/n putting her phone back on the table. "It was the lawyer, his assistant misplaced our signed papers.." she mumbled.

"Did he call you to resign them?"

"Yeah, i'll be going now. I'll see you later, tell Komori I said hi."

———

"It's nice to see you again." Mitsuo held out his hand for her to shake, the palm of his head meeting hers before they sat down. "You too. Did his get misplaced?" she asked, looking right at him as he shook his head, a small smile on his face.

"Fortunately no. I just don't understand how yours got misplaced, i'm sorry for having to bring you here again and redo this." he said, making eye contact with her. "No it's fine, I didn't have anything to do today but I didn't expect this." she let out a nervous laugh.

"Again, sorry. I'll treat you for lunch—"

"No! You don't have to do that! It wasn't your fault either way." she immediately interrupted him, his eyes widening before he glanced down at the piece of paper. "No I insist! You had to come back here and it was my fault that this happened." Mitsuo twirled a piece of his hair between his fingers.

"No! Please it's fine! I swear!" she chuckled, watching him shake his head, tilting it to the side as his black hair followed his movements. "If you say so, then I won't pressure you." he smiled at her. The rest of the time she had just filled out the missing spaces on the papers, it was quiet in the room, not awkwardly quiet but comforting.

"I'm done." she slid the papers over to him, her eyes on him as he took the papers away. "Thank you, the offer still stands you know." they both stood up. "It's fine, really. Thank you though."

"But one question." he said, stopping her from turning around. "Yeah, what is it?" she asked, looking right at him. "Did you find out who it was?" a weird question she thought, especially coming from him but it flew by her head. "His co-worker." she answered.

"Ah, men really don't know how to treat women. I've been getting more cases each day, the woman wanting to divorce the man because he cheated. It's sad." Mitsuo mumbled, in the corner of his eyes he could see her nod her head.

"I hope that doesn't happen to my friends, they seem to love each other a-lot." Y/n said, thinking of Ayame and Komori. "Don't jinx it, but if they love each other truly, then you don't have to worry." he reassured, a faint smile on his face as he grabbed the papers and started walking to the door.

"They're getting married in two..three months actually, their wedding is going to be very emotional. He's definitely going to cry his eyes out." Y/n said, referring to Komori as Mitsuo laughed. "Well I hope you enjoy it. It was nice meeting you Y/n." She didn't catch the use of him saying her first name.

"You too."
