The plane trip didn't take long, at least for Y/n, she was originally going to sleep the whole way through but instead she found herself talking with the man seated next to her, Mitsuo.

Ayame and Komori were seated way behind them so they couldn't really eavesdrop on what the two were talking about, but the two relied on another pair of eyes. Though it would've been awkward for Sakusa, especially since he found out that the woman sitting next to him was the one who Y/n's ex-husband cheated on her with.

Throughout the whole flight, the two didn't break eye contact, only when they were laughing but their eyes kept connecting. Sakusa was obviously jealous, his leg bouncing as he would hear the two try to quietly talk. Aoi took notice of it, letting out a sigh before discreetly rolling her eyes.

"Some people are just meant to be, am I right?" Aoi spoke, Sakusa gave her a glance before realizing that she was talking about Y/n and Mitsuo. Their conversation looked like it took off with no problem. Sakusa tilted his head the other way, leaning out of his seat and turning back as he saw Ayame and Komori's head poking out into the aisle.

Ayame gave a thumbs up while Komori gave a thumbs down, the couple trying to figure out what was going on as Sakusa gave a thumbs up, his facial expression faltering just a bit. He did in fact like Y/n, it was obvious that he did but he wasn't so sure about her. Especially since she had just got out of a divorce, he would have to wait a little until he was sure her feelings for him were the same.

But he didn't know she was still holding onto a piece of him since high school.

"Where'd you get that bracelet, it's really pretty." Sakusa heard Mitsuo say, he quickly turned back in his chair, pretending to rest his face on the palms on his hands as his elbows reached his thighs, leaning forward just enough to try and heard what they were saying.

"I got it back in high school in my second year on a school field trip and thank you, but I wasn't the one who chose it."

"It's no problem, who did?"

"It was—" she looked down at her wrist, going to finish her sentence but the pilot had just interrupted her. "We had successfully landed, please wait until the plane has come to a full stop to proceed to exit."

The two looked out the window, only to take time to let the fact that they've been talking this whole entire time. Mitsuo glanced at her with a faint blush on his cheeks, feeling the heat start to grow and grow until he cleared his throat and looked the other way. "It felt like such a short ride though.." he heard her mumble.

"It did, only because we were talking most of the time."

"Right!" she said, a smile on her face as the plane assistants told them to start heading off the. It was nice and warm outside, just the perfect temperature to head straight to the beach but first, a nice meal would help their hunger.

"I'm hungry!" Hinata and Hoshiumi both groaned, holding their stomachs with their luggage beside them as the rest of each teams were walking off. "I can feel my organs through my skin..I think I might die!" Hoshiumi exaggerated, holding his arm around his stomach and closing his eyes tight while his teammates ignored him.

"Then go get some food moron."

———

"This taste so good!"

They were all together eating at a restaurant, some were separated with others seated at tables close to each other. And at one specific table was Y/n, Ayame, Komori, Sakusa, Atsumu, Aran and Suna, just across Mitsuo and Aoi's table. The two siblings decided to sit together, only because they didn't know the others well. Mitsuo was going to join them, solely to get away from his sister but he didn't want Aoi joining either, especially because of the situation.

"Atsumu, do you remember back in high school when—"

"Please don't let it be anything embarrassing Suna!" Atsumu gave him a glare as Suna quickly shut his mouth before opening it again. "I remember her slapping you in one of our practice games." he quickly said as Ayame cleared her throat. "Oh yeah! I remember, I heard it all the way from the bus." Aran said, giving Ayame a high five.

"I said not to say anything embarrassing, if anything, Omi's the embarrassing one!" Atsumu quickly pointed over to Sakusa who was peacefully enjoying his food, in hopes that no one would bring him up. "Me? Me? I'm embarrassing, what did I do that's embarrassing?" Sakusa said in an offended tone, everyone around the table sharing a laugh.

".."

"Exactly."

He would look every so often, every five minutes just to look at her from afar. Well she wasn't that far but she was far to him. It seemed like she would do the same because their eyes would meet, she'd smile back at him then look at someone else. It made his heart flutter terribly in a good way, and he didn't seem to mind at all.

"Mitsuo, can we join a group? I don't really want to be with you all day, I hate sibling activities!"

"Go ahead, I don't really care."

Aoi was a bit caught off guard by his sudden words, his change in tone too as she looked at him, following to where his eyes were leading to before letting out a sigh. "What's so special about her? You and him seem to like her so much." she said with an agitated tone, Mitsuo giving her a side eye.

"Me and him?"
