Chapter 9: Harvard

After a week, we left for Harvard. (In the week i had made up with Harry.) Not on Archa of course. The whole time i thought of what grandma said. What were the dragon games and why would i have to compete in them? Was it like the Hunger Games or what? I decided to Google it.

'The dragon games are held in England every year. In the competitions, the riders need to fight with all of their strengths. Anyone who doesn't compete is automatically shuned.' it read. *Archa! Come take a look at this!* i yelled and she crawled over. She read it and stared at me.

*Did you tell Niall?* she asked and i shook my head. *You need to tell him that you'll be away for many months and might not come back. * she insisted. *Fine!* i let out a sigh. I entered Nialls mind.

*Hey. I need to tell you something.* i said. At the same time i said to Archa quote 'I'm going to kill you later!' "What is it babe?" he asked. I showed him my find. His eyes widened as he read it. "Are you serious?" he asked. "Dead!" i answered.

"Ok, so my girlfriend and best mate's sister is going off to do some wierd hunger games thinga-ma-jiig? Oh god!" he yelled. The flight attendent looked at Niall.

We were on a private jet. "Whoa! No need to get sassy with me." I said with a neck shake. "Mmmmhmmm! I've just showed up my good friend the sass masta from Doncasta!" i sassed back.

"Hurtful!" Louis exclaimed putting a hand over his heart. Yup. That idiot was on the plane to Harvard too. They all were on the plane to Harvard.

"Quiet!" he growled. Ok. What happened to sweet, little, leprechaun Niall? "I might as well break up with you! I won't see you for months anyways!" he yelled, getting angrier by the second. My jaw dropped and Harry sat very upright all of a sudden.

"I can't belive you! You know what! Lets just be friends!" i yelled. I got up and walked over to where Harry was sitting. He traded places with me and whispered in my ear: "It's ok Elix! I'll kick his arse for you!" he sat down next to Niall. I immediatly grabbed my note book : 'Thorn is red, Saphira is blue, Shruken is mean, and I HATE YOU! Jackslaps, Elix

Niall's P.O.V.

She walked away and Harry traded places with her. "What the frick is wrong with you? It's no different than if we were on tour! Oh. You've done it this time! Oh you've done it this time!" he hissed. He smacked me in the back of the head. I got hit in the head with something pointy as well. It was a paper airplane!

I unfolded it and read it. *Horan! You have soooooo done it this time!* i thought. I took out a steno pad and started writing.

~2 hours later~ Elix's P.O.V.

We arrived at Dacy airport in Harvard and drove to Sassy's house. We pulled up an i just about fainted. It was like a mansion! It was a log house but it was huge! I ran out and ran down the driveway. I could here the boys' songs blasting from the barn.

I giggled and ran into the barn. Sassy was in there jumping her horse. It looked about 5 feet. "Sassy!" i yelled and she stopped her horse. "Elix! Oh my god i am so happy to see you." she screeched.

"Sit on the mounting block please! How've you been?" she asked. I told her my whole story and she as shocked. She jumped down from her horse. "whoa Ransom!" she pulled off his tack and he took off running.

"UNBELIEVABLE!" she screamed. I was about to reply when a blonde boy came out of the house. "Hey Sammi! Why is One Direction in your house?" he asked. "Ian! Are you serious? Have them wait!" she laughed and shooed him off. "Friends!" she sighed. "C'mon' do you wanna go to the library?" she asked and i nodded.

"Hey people! Elix and i are going to the library! " she yelled when she got in the house. They all said okay. She grabbed her keys and phone and ran out the door. "Ky is away visiting her grandma for the week so she'll be gone." she explained when we got in her mammoth truck. "Ok! I'll miss her!" i smiled.

We started talking about stuff when she turned on the radio and Kiss You came on. It was Niall's solo. I groaned and face palmed myself.

She quickly shut it off and we continued our drive. *Elix?! Where are you! I'm being terrorized by little dogs!* Archa hissed. I stiffled a giggle. We pulled up at the library before i could reply.

"C'mon!" Sassy said and i followed her. I took off to the young adult section while Sassy went to the nonfiction section. There was a cute blonde boy in that isle but i ignored him. "SHELLNUT!" Samantha whisper yelled and the boy hugged her laughing. I walked over there to see what all the fuss was about!

"Elix, this is my good friend Jesse! Jesse, this is my bestie Elix!" she squeaked. "God breathe would you! Its nice to meet you by the way." i giggled. "Hey wanna go shopping in Harvard? A new sports store opened up last week!" Jesse laughed. "Sure i just need some books." she said and went back to searching. Ten minutes later, she came back with a huge pile of books.

"*cough* Nerd. *cough* Geek!" I muttered. She just rolled her eyes.

~Half an hour later~

FLASH! A camera cried. Stupid paps. "Lets go!" i said as we got in the truck. Sassy dropped Jesse off and we drove home.

When we got home, the lads were staring at a computer. "What's this? " Harry hissed and showed me a picture of Jesse kissing my cheek. "A friend." i smirked and walked away.

Samantha's P.O.V. ~Later~

I woke up to someone singing. I walked down to the basement to see Niall bent over a notebook with a guitar on his lap.

"Baby you got me sick

I don't know what i did! Need to take a break and figure it out.

Got your voice in my head, saying lets just be friends. Can't belive the words come out of your mouth, yeah.

I'm tryna be ok, i'm tryna be alright, but seeing you with him, just don't feel right. And i'm like OW! Never thought it hurt so bad, getting over you! But OW! You giving me a heart attack looking like you do o! Cause you're all i ever wanted! Thought you'd be the one and OW! You're giving me a heart attack, getting over you!"

He sang. I was shocked. The song must've been about Elix! I clapped wildly and he jumped. "Oh, hi Sammi. " he said rubbing the back of his neck and looking down at the ground. "You still love her!" i blurted. He nodded slowly.

"But we're over so that's that. I was just under a ton of stress and i was worried. But she doesn't care, nobody cares." he said replied glumly. "I care." i said sitting next to him. "You do?" he looked suprised. "I care about a lot of things but most of all- you!" i sang. "You can sing?" he asked. I nodded. "Can you play guitar?" he asked. I shook my head. He patted his lap so i sat down. He put the guitar around us and told me what do. I put my hands on the strings and he put is on mine.

We practied for a while when he made a wierd noise. I turned to look at him and he kissed me. Like on the lips. At first i struggled but finally i gave in. "Niall!" someone yelled and i turned to see Elix.
