Man you think it'd be a straightforward concept, but you'd be surprised. For some reason people don't understand how dialogue works. Like they've never seen quotation marks before
They'll use every other thing other than quotation marks to show that someone is speak. Let me ask you something. When you read a book, what does the author use when someone is speaking?

Quotation marks are literally to quote things. Everytime someone is speaking in your book, you use quotation marks. That's what they were built for. Don't run from them
