You finish half your food and a monster. That's enough to please Andrew. While walking back you top and look at him. He stops too making eye contact wondering you stopped. "How'd you know?" You ask. He knows what your asking and let's out a sigh. A sigh that he's been holding in for years. A sigh that's been carrying the burdens of secrets. A sigh that speaks a thousand words. "Because I was you, and still am just a treated you"  "treated?"  "Therpay." He says and than starts walking again. Only a few words but the most he's ever told anyone. You feel honored to have received this information.

Upon returning to the room from dinner both you and Andrew are greeted with questioning looks. You want time alone to talk to Rue and your guessing he wants the same. You mention how it's getting late and should be on their way. You plop down into the comfy bed knowing convincing them will take awhile.

"But sweetie how could we leave you?" Cate asks worrying about you being alone.
"For a nice comfy bed" you reply jokingly. Only one who laughs is Andrew. You give him a quick glance and give him a smile while trying to hold in a laugh. Cate is glaring at both you and him making it so much funnier but also making is so much worse to laugh. After a second you compose yourself and respond seriosly telling her that you'll be "absolutely dupely positively fine!" She rolls her eyes but agrees to leave you for the night and gives you a soft hug as a goodbye. You could stay like that forever. Sandy walks out with Cate giving you a wave.

Sarah walks over and says "I'm just a phone call away" and leans down and kisses your forehead.

You smile and she stands up but you quickly ask with a moment of confidence "where do you think your going!?" She turns around confused thinking she did something wrong. You motion for her to come close. She leans down and you give her a quick kiss to the cheek. Her eyes go wide and almost instantly she is pink. You smirk and tell her goodnight. It takes everything in her to stutter out a "you t-too!" And quickly walk out. In the hallway once she's out of everyone's sight she puts her hand on the kiss and smiles.

Now left in the room is you, Andrew, and a half asleep Rue. "You sure you'll be alright kid?" you sarcastically reply with a "yes dad", it was supposed to be a joke. The idea of someone loving you unconditionally is hard to grasp. Something about calling him dad just clicked in your head and fealt right. After having this life changing discovery he ruffles your hair and says "I'm always here for you, no matter what." That hit you hard. Your used to people just getting up and abandoning you after things become too difficult. As childish as this may sound you ask him with tears brimming in your eyes "promise?" He puts his hand like you would when you hold a teacup and says "pinky" you both interlock fingers and for the first time you get it. This is what a father is. He gives you a little pat on the cheek, somehow you didn't even flinch, and walks out for the night.

You see Rue on the seat at this point almost snoring she so tired. You sit up and shake her shoulder. You pat next to you on the bed. She lays down and you put her arm around her neck. You feel a relief knowing she is finally safe.

The middle of the night comes and suddenly you hear screaming. Rue is being pulled from your arms. You grab her as tight as you can but it's not enough. Whoever it is has her and it's too dark to see who. "Help me y/n please!!!" She's screaming. You can't move, your trapped. No matter how hard you will yourself to move you can even lift a finger. "Y/n do something!" She begs before being dragged out into the hallway.

I really didnt think I would write again I look back and see how awful my writing was💀 but here I am...MarvelIdiot101 comments I guess inspired me. I'll try to update tomorrow i wont leave a cliffhanger for too long I'm not THAT evil
