You jolt awake afraid of what just happened being reality. But when you look down you see your sweet sister rue soundly asleep. You vow to not let anything happen to her ever again. You holde her against you so tight your afraid ot will wake her up. After today though she must be really tired and doesn't even move a muscle. Its hard to go back to sleep but with fingers slowly twirling around in her afro your asleep knowing she's right there.
At Cate's Place
You could say it was a tense car ride home at the least. Cate driving using that as an excuse to not look at Andrew and Andrew awkwardly sitting there not having an excuse. Once they pull up into the driveway Andrew knows, knows this will be one of the most difficult conversations of his life.
They walk through the door and immediately without missing a beat Cate goes "What was that with y/n?" She was hurt that her husband couldn't share something with her and for some reason even more hurt that y/n couldn't either.
"Come upstairs and I'll explain"
"No I want you to tell me right now!"
He takes her hands and calmly leads her upstairs onto the edge of the bed.
Andrew opens his mouth like he's about to say something but the words are just too hard to form.
"For christ's sakes honey please just say it!" Cate blurts out her patience dwindling by the second. You can see it in the way her leg bounces nervously and her hands cant really decide what to do.
"There's something you don't know about me."
"Ya I kinda got that part!"
"Look Cate I'm the luckiest man in the world to be with you. Sometimes I feel like I don't deserve it. In the beginning of our relationship I didn't know how to cope, so I just stopped eating. If I didn't deserve you I didn't deserve food. And maybe by not eating I'd look better and finally deserve you.
"Oh Sweetie I dont deserve you!" She says going in for a big hug. Andrew accepts this reassurance feeling as vulnerable at ever. " I am so sorry you feel that way and know that you are MORE than enough. I will love you forever no matter what"
They have their moment of expressing how they truly feel and suddenly cate remembers how they got on this topic. "Andrew sweetie I am so glad you shared this, but can I ask what this has to do with y/n?" He chuckles and wipes away his tears because he too forget that was the meaning of this conversation. "She is like me. We both don't have a good relationship with food. We both have our reasons and I don't know what hers are, but no matter what I'm going to help her through it."
I promise I intended this to come out the next day but things got in the way and for once it wasn't my lack of motivation!🤣
