Prologue - Welcome's to the Villain's World, Chapter I
"...never let go of that hand."
I opened my eyes after hearing the pleasant voice that was talking to me as it awoke me from my slumber. For the first time, it was not the sound of a glass breaking that forced me to wake up but I wasn't expecting a dark surrounding. Was it still night? Did I happen to wake up from a dream?
I wondered but I find it quite odd since I remember falling asleep in the bathroom, trying to avoid my parents. This place is cramped since there was like a wall in front of me. I was thinking of trying to get out of this place until I heard an unfamiliar muffled voice from the outside.
"Crap. People are coming. Gotta get a uniform while..." The thing that was in front of me was creaking which utterly confused me about what happened. My head was throbbing from trying to remember what happened before this but I can't and it frustrated me. The voice and the creaking sound paused which made me worried about what was going to happen next.
"The lid is too heavy. Time for... my secret move!" He exclaimed before blue fire appeared right in front of me. I let out a shriek at the sight as the door completely burned down. Thankfully, the outside wasn't brightly lighted up but I'm too stunned to see a grey cat-looking thing standing in front of me and the room that filled with floating coffins.
I took a step outside from the coffins as I looked around, wondering if this was a lucid dream or a hallucination from one of my parents' drugs that would have forced me to have every single time. The cat that was standing next to me immediately screamed the moment it saw me getting out of the coffin. "Why are you up?!" The cat asked me as I stared at the cat. Wasn't sure if I should talk to it or not.
It's not every day that I actually see things like this so I want to go along with this. I prefer to at least have a visual thing to talk to. Whether they existed or not. "Your fire woke me up, stupid cat," I stated as I went down to its level before he gave me an offended look.
"Just who you're calling stupid cat! I let you know I am the Great Grim!" He introduced himself to me in a high and mighty voice as I looked at it in fascination. This is new for my hallucination to have personality. "Well, whatever. Hey human! Gimme those clothes already! Otherwise... I'll roast ya!" He threatened me but I really can't take it seriously with his size as I looked at myself to see quite a different body with totally different clothes.
A school uniform if I had to add. This is one sophisticated dream or hallucination that I never know I could create if I had to admit myself. "Do you hear me?" Grim asked as I looked at him with a smile.
"I do, I do but does these clothes even fit you, cat? You are literally tiny compared to my size." I stated while poking his body. I am fascinated by the fact of how soft his fur is. The cat hissed and looked at me in anger and annoyance at how I treated him.
"I, Grim will figure it out later, just give me the clothes to me!" He exclaimed as I stood up before smiling at him playfully.
"Catch me first, stupid cat." I immediately ran from him given that he could shoot fire at me. As I ran, I realized the places I was going were different, almost like a wonderland that I'd been dreaming of before I ended up at the library.
This feeling of joy and tranquility without worrying about my parents was nice and I wish it would last forever. I heard a pant from behind as I turned around to see Grim actually chasing me till here which surprised me. "Did you really think you'd get away from my nose, dumb human? If you don't want to be burned alive, better hand over-" A rope began to tie Grim from harming me which surprised me while Grim let out a shriek of pain. "What's with this rope?" I shrugged before I noticed somebody from behind.
