Chapter 15 - Invisible Barriers

     You know those one creepy dreams where you're walking down a dark tunnel and you see the little speck of light at the end. Well, that's what kind of dream I'm in right about now. Except that the light hasn't got any bigger to show you that you're getting close. And it seems like I've forever been walking down this creepy tunnel.

    I questioned myself many times was I ever going to get out and finally see what's on the other side. It's like the more I walk the more that little dot of light gets further and further away. I turn around but all I see is pitch darkness. Every time I try to take a step back, it's like an invisible wall is blocking me from doing so.

    I pushed and banged the wall with all my might, and then I heard the sound of glass cracking. I look up and seen that the invisible wall had cracks where my hands were once pushing it. The cracks were slowly becoming bigger and bigger. I took a few steps back realizing that this invisble barrier would soon shatter to pieces.

 

     As it continues to crack, I squint my eyes and saw a set of glowing light green eyes staring back at me on the other side of the barrier. The eyes began to get closer and closer the more the wall cracked. Every step it took torwards me the more steps I took backwards.

  All I could see was the pair of glowing eyes and some glowing gem that was around it's neck. As soon as the glass barrier completely shattered the set of eyes roared showing all of it's sharp teeth it had, and began chasing after me.

   I swiftly turned around sprinting towards the light. This time the light grew bigger the more I ran from this beast. The ground shook everytime the beast's feet hit the ground as it chases after me. I started to slow down as I was approaching the end of the tunnel.

   As I was getting closer I noticed that at the end of the tunnel there was a cliff. I hurried up and stopped just in time so I wouldn't fall off. I caught my breath now standing on the edge.

   I looked down over the cliff and could only see clouds. It seemed like I was in a cave on a mountain. I looked around and saw miles and miles of clouds that surrounded this cave. I then look back at the ravenous beast that was quickly getting closer. It felt like my heart sank to my stomach. I was stuck between a beast and a cliff.

"あなたの悪魔から実行を停止し、私の子供" (Stop running from your demons, my child)

A soft familiar voice spoke as I was about to attempt to jump off the cliff. A voice, almost ghostly, that floated through the air. It always whispered in my ear whenever I come across situations that I'm not too sure on how to react.

That's when I realized the beast that had been chasing after me had stopped.

The claws had formed into human hands and feet, and the whole body had morphed into a beautiful woman, like myself. But she wasn't no ordinary woman. Her eyes glowed a bright green, while her hair was jet black that came to the lower part of her back, and her hands and feet held markings similar to mine.

"理解できません"(I don't understand)I said confused as to what she was talking about.

"隠れて停止します。あなたの真の姿であるためには唯一の方法は本当にあなたの運命を受け入れることです"(Stop hiding. The only way for you to be your true form is to truly accept your destiny)She said walking towards me cupping my face with in her hands. My body began to feel tingly, but in a good way. It's like I belonged in the warmth of her hands. I felt a tear escaped through the side of my eye and she pulled me into a hug.
