Harry POV
"Harry!" I turned around. "Oh, hi Cedric. Need something?" I waited for him to catch up with me. We made eye contact. "Just wanted to thank you. For letting me know about the dragons, I mean. And... uh... about the egg, go to the prefects bathroom, take it with you, and open it underwater. Bye Harry." And he was off. I stood there for a moment, before continuering my walk to Charms. I walked into the classroom, noticed I was late, and sat down next to Draco. "You're very late, mr. Potter. Detention after dinner." "Sorry, professor."I mumbled. We started to learn about how you change somethings size, but I couldn't focus. After I accidentally growed a quill instead of shrinking it, Draco asked:"Are you alright? You've been very distracted." "I'm fine, just tired." He nodded.

After dinner, I went to detention. "Good evening, professor." "Good evening, mr. Potter. Mind explaining why you were late and distracted?" "Just been thinking about the tournament, nothing special, professor." He furrowed his eyebrows. "Write down these sentences and you can leave." I sat down and started to wrote.

I headed back to the common room after a good thirthy minutes of writing sentences. I stepped trough the portrait hole, and went to grab the egg. Time to see if Cedric told me the truth. I took it, and walked to the portrait again. Someone grabbed my shoulder. I turned around, to see Draco. "I've called you like ten times. Where are you going?" "Cedric told me how to open the egg. I'll be right back." I turned around, and walked away.

I entered the prefects bathroom, took of my clothes and stepped in the water. I grabbed the egg, took a deep breath and dived. I opened the egg, and a voice said:"Come seek us where our voices sound, we cannot sing above the ground. An hour long you'll have to look, to recover what we took. I got out of the water, putted my clothes back on, wrote down the note, and I headed back to the dorm.

Draco POV
Harry came back trough the portrait hole. He was all wet, and I quickly rushed over. "What happend? Why are you all wet?" "Can you please let me take a shower first? These clothes are getting annoying." I nodded.

Harry came out of the bathroom, his hair still wet, and sat down on his bed. I sat down beside him. "Now, care to explain?" He sighed. "I went to the prefects bathroom to open the egg. I had to open it underwater, that's why I was all wet. It said a note, but I don't understand it." He gave me a piece of parchment. I readed it, and thought for a moment. "We cannot sing above the ground... and you had to open the egg underwater? Do you think there could be any creatures living in the Black Lake?" He stood up. "You're brilliant. I'm sure Hermione knows about that." I stood up and followed him. "Do you know where she is?" He chuckled. "Library of course."

We entered the library, and Harry walked straight to the bookshelf closest to the Restricted Section. "Hey 'Mione." She looked up. "Hi Harry, Draco. Need something?" "Do you perhaps know if there live any creatures in the Black Lake?" She thought for a moment. "Mermaids." I handed her the note. "We're gonna need your help." She readed it and thought for a moment. "Come seek us where our voices sound, we can't sing above the ground. That means you have to dive into the Black Lake and look for the mermaids. An hour long you'll have to look, to recover what we took. That means the mermaids will take something from each Champion, and each Champion has to get it back. So basically, each Champion will need to dive into the Black Lake, look for something the mermaids took and bring that back up. You'll have an hour. When is the second task?" "Tomorrow." She nodded and went her head to Harry. "If I may advise you, use gillyweed. That'll last an hour." Harry nodded. "Will do. Thanks for the help 'Mione." We went back to the common room. Harry summoned some gillyweed and made sure he wouldn't forget it. We dressed into pyjamas and went to bed.
