"Hey, do you have an iPhone charger?"
Peter looked up, "huh?" He looked at the young man who stood there.

"An iPhone charger, the new one, faster one" the man said while looking down at his phone, writing away.

"Yeah," Peter pulled one from behind him, "it's 20 dollars". The man pulled a credit card, still not looking at up. Peter took the credit card and payed for the charger, "receipt?" Peter held the paper to him. "No, thanks" the man looked up, send a reassuring smile, grabbed the charger and left.

Peter went back to staring, usually no one came into the store, people these days just ordered everything online. Peter usually fixed phones that went black, or wouldn't charge anymore, but the highlight of his day was 8:24 am.

The main reason Peter worked in this lame electronic shop was because it was placed exactly in front the stop bus that MJ gets up to every morning on her way to MIT. Yeah, it may seems creepy, MJ didn't even knew he exist now, but he had hard time, to just let go, this was the best he could do for now. Maybe he was scared to let this go, the one last thing that tied him back to his old life.

"Yo Pete!" Peter turned his head, there stood Scott, his coworker, "what's with the long face?"

It wasn't that Peter didn't like Scott, it just that Scott wasn't the type Peter would usually be friends with, but giving the circumstances, Peter would take what he can get.

"No man, I'm fine, just bored, it's been ever since we've been actually working here" Peter sighed.

"Bro I've never seen someone this bummed out to do nothin'" Scott said, "so, you got yourself a place yet?"

Peter told Scott that he's new in town, just moved in, waiting to start school and get to know people, Scott being the first one. "Yeah, it's pretty close to here actually."

"I'm sure it is, it's the only reason why someone would show up to work at 7:30 am" Scott laughed.

'Oh if only you knew' Peter thought to himself. "Well you're here too" Peter replied.

"Nah, I don't count, I work nights at the bar, the one few blocks from here. You know, cleaning the table and giving life changing advices" Scott made circles with his hand on the countertop.

Peter laughed, "wow, would love to get one from you Scott."

"Then pop by," Scott eyes lit up.

"Oh n-" Peter started but was cut by Scott.

"Come on man! What else you got to do? I mean I know you ain't working here at nights, and you still don't know nobody in town, come say hi, I'll introduce you to some friends, maybe even some.. lady friends..." Scott eyebrows wiggled up and down.

"No, no Scott I-"

"Oh man I'm sorry, i didn't know... we can find some man friends if you-"

"No!" Peter held his hands up, "I'm not- look, I really appreciate your invitation, but I- I'm busy" Peter finally huffed out.

Scott looked at him, studying his face, "look Peter" he said sighing, "I never moved so far away, but I did once decided to start over, stay far from old friends and find new people to hang out with. I know we don't really know each other but I really think I could help you, settling down and, you know, finding your place 'round here." Scott looked to Peter's eyes, slightly scared by himself, opening up like this. "So what'd you say? Come by tonight?"

Peter was shocked, he didn't see that coming, "um.. I guess, yeah" he nodded, "sure, I'll come by." Peter noticed he was smiling, a smile which reflected back by Scott.

"Hey," an old man walked into the store, "can you help me? My phone, it's, it's camera won't work." Peter and Scott looked up, seeing the old man handing over the phone.

"Yes sir!" Scott's hands clasped on Peter's shoulders, "this young fella right here, he's ready to help with whatever!"

Peter chuckled, "yeah sure, let me just take a close look." Peter took the phone and started working on it.

"Psst Pete," Scott said from behind, "I'll text you the place's name," he winked at him.

Peter looked at his suit, for the first night since everything changed, he's not wearing it, but instead he put on some blue t-shirt and black pair of jeans. He looked at the mirror again, somewhat nervous. He didn't know whether the nerve came from not going to watch the city for tonight or if it's that it's the first time he's doing something normal, he's going out for the first time in ever.

'What about the city? What if something happens tonight?' He thought to himself. Anyway he planned for being there something like an half an hour, just to show Scott that he cares, and then he'll head back, and he could go on and be spiderman for the rest of the night.

Peter took a long look at himself again, "I can't believe I'm doing this," he whispered, before grabbing his keys and heading out.
