Sabrina had left you at the counter of Dorian's club. Dorian had looked at you with an odd expression. You'd been helping Hilda as she made costumes for an event at the book shop, she'd asked you to try on some period costumes. Which was why Dorian was torn. A mortal in his bar, Dorian, didn't like it. But a mortal with a rather good fashion sense was a little more tolerable.

Sabrina had cornered a warlock and was talking to them in a rather exaggerated manner. You sat at the bar and tried not to stare at the jars of things that moved. You were used to magic. Mostly. But the Spellman's didn't have jars of eyeballs that all looked at you the same way and seemed to follow you as you leaned one way then the other. At least if they did. They didn't put them on show like Dorian did.

As sat at the bar and waited, someone approached you. He looked as if he was a youngish man though he dressed like he was a victorian lord of some kind which made it hard to guess his age. He took the back of your hand and kissed it, muttering things to you. He waved a hand in the air and you started to feel tingly.

"(Y/N)! There you are!" Nick said as he joined you at the bar. The other warlock looked rather disappointed as Nick also waved his hands in the air and you seemed to feel less tingly. "You weren't trying to steal my mortal were you?" Nick asked the other warlock. He shrank back and hurried away.

"I feel funny." You muttered as your head started throbbing.

"Yes you will for a bit. You were being glamored by a warlock." Nick explained.

"Doing a remarkable job of resisting the spell. Here it should help with the headache." Dorian said as he set a bubbling violet drink on the bar in front of you.

"If you're not careful you're going to end up dating a warlock and you don't want that." Nick scolded. You raised your eyebrows at his comment.

"Oh, what's it like to date a warlock?" You asked. Nick winced and sighed.

"Well they're not monogamous, they're wicked begiulers, they have been known to snack on mortals. Constantly looking for an excuse to trick someone. Not something you'd be interested in." He frowned when you laughed.

"That all sounds a bit far fetched. Ambrose wouldn't do something like that and he's a warlock. Plus that warlock that's friends with Dorcas. I would know if they were going off to eat mortals." You weren't taking him seriously at all and Nick's face went stern.

"Just because they don't doesn't mean that others don't." Nick spluttered out quickly. You rolled your eyes and gave him an unimpressed look, glancing over at Sabrina to see if she was done you hopped down from the bar.

"I think you're just jealous that I was talking with another warlock." You said confidently. Sabrina looked for you and waved you over as she headed to the door. You left to join her before Nick could say anything. He sighed as he watched you go, heading over to take a seat by the fire. Truthfully he had been a little jealous. But he wasn't wrong about the dangers that came from knowing a warlock.
