Sabrina had invited you to a Halloween party. It was celebrated the mortal way. Which fascinated some of the witches that knew Sabrina. Prudence had listened to Theo as he explained myths and legends and told ghost stories.

Dorcas and Agatha had taken to looking at the funny looking food, Dorcas thought it was fascinating that mortals could make the bright purples, greens and blues without any magic. Agatha was fascinated by the cake pops that looked like little spiders. Hilda tried to explain how everything had been made.

You had been sitting in the corner of the room in one of the comfy armchairs, reading a large book about werewolves that Ambrose had lent you. No one had managed to get your attention since you started it. Hilda had set a drink and a few bits of food, arranged neatly on one of her flower bordered plates, on a small side table that was next to the chair. It had gone untouched and unnoticed.

It wasn't until Nicholas Scratch Sat on the edge of the chair and leaned in that you looked up from the book. It felt a little like waking up from a deep sleep. Blinking a few times you frowned at him.

"Can I help you?" You asked and he shrugged.

"I was just wondering what you were reading. It seems more interesting than anything else going on." When he gestured to the room you realised that some people had gathered around Zelda who was explaining how a large crystal ball worked. Hilda was on the other side of the room with a few people gathered around her, you couldn't see what they were doing but it looked like some sort of game.

"I'm reading about werewolves, I think there is one near town." You explained and glanced at the book, using your finger to mark your place. You looked back at him and added. "I think it's a teen wolf, you know, like a young one. No one else believes me. Except Ambrose who said there could be one but he wasn't sure."

You both looked over at Ambrose who was talking with Prudence. "So, what can a teen wolf do?" He asked.

"A lot of damage to buildings at the moment. But I found someone who thought they saw something that looked like a giant wolf. Ambrose says if I find enough evidence that there is a werewolf he'll help." You smiled a little and turned back to your book. Nick stood up slowly.

"You know, I happen to be a wolf expert if you ever need some help." He smiled at you when you glanced up from the book and hurried over to talk to Sabrina.
