Nick Scratch x Reader

Requested by Anon

As the crowds of people taking refuge parted. You spotted Nick. He was talking to a group of people you didn't recognise. They must have been witches and warlocks. Among them, you recognised Sabrina who was talking with an animated bravado as more gathered around her.

Nick looked your way as you found yourself jostled by people yelling at Sabrina's aunt and others just worried about what was happening and riled themselves up to argue with each other. He made his way through the crowd and held out his arm. You took it and he steered you away from the crowd, towards one of the few benches that weren't crammed with worried families.

"Do you think everyone will be ok?" You asked him.

"Oh. I'm sure that we will be. Sabrina has a plan and they always seem to work out." Nick muttered as he sat backwards on the seat in front of you. "You know we never got to finish our talk. From the other night?"

"Oh. Yeah. A giant monster escaping the mines kind of interrupted us." You pointed out. There was a lull as you thought about how he'd insisted that he loved you. That Harvey had it wrong. He wasn't in love with Sabrina but you. "Are you allowed to love? I thought that was forbidden."

"Forbidden? Well. Maybe when Father Blackwell was in charge. But now that Sabrina's aunts are in charge..." He trailed off and smiled at you as you looked up at him curiously. The ground trembled and you lept up out of his seat. He reached out to grab at your arm and help you steady yourself.

"We need to do something now!" You heard Zelda call over the swell of the crowd.

"Is it coming here?" You asked quietly.

"Maybe. But if it is, I'll keep you safe. Like I said. I love you." Nick said quietly as the panic became almost palpable.
