Everyone was walking into the main room to react some more. Hiccup was smiling all the way exited that wasn't being bullied. F!hiccup on the other hand wasn't so happy. He knew that the Stoick of his time is accepting of dragons, but he wasn't ready to hear what his dad had to say when he figured out about toothless. or any of them. He knew his friends got his back, but he didn't want them to be talked about like he was. He didn't wish that for anyone. F!fishlegs noticed his friend's sadness and put a hand on his shoulder "we're with you. all the way" he said kindly. 'that's what I'm worried about' F!hiccup thinks but mutters a "thank you" with a smile anyway.

Ruffnut laughs, "Quite the performance" her twin, Tuffnut says. Fishlegs smiles as snotlout says "I've never seen anyone mess up that badly. that helped." "Thank you, thank you. I was trying." hiccup says sarcastically. Gobber smacks snotlout on the head "ow!" snotlout falls to the floor then quickly stands up with a laugh.

'Starting off strong' F!hiccup thinks. F!gang looks at the hiccups apologetically.

Hiccup and Gobber walk up to his house. "I really did hit one." "Sure, hiccup" "he never listens" "it runs in the family" "when he does, it's with this disappointed scowl, like someone skimped on meant in his sandwich." hiccup and Gobber go back and forth. Hiccup then mimics his father "Excuse me, barmaid. I'm afraid you brought me the wrong offspring. I ordered an extra-large boy with beefy arms, extra guts and glory on the side. this here, this is a talking fishbone." "you're thinking about this all wrong. It's not so much what you look like, it's what inside he can't stand."  Hiccup just looks at Gobber like 'how is that supposed to help me feel better?'

"Thank you for summing that up." he turns away. "Look, the point is, stop trying to be something you're not." Gobber says softly. "I just want to be one of you guys." hiccup enters his house as Gobber sighs.

"you're not one of us. your better" F!astrid says to her betrothed, F!hiccup smiles at her not being able to say anything as his life was still playing.

Hiccup is seen running through his back door.

"Either we finish them, or they'll finish us! It's the only way we'll be rid of them. If we find the nest and destroy it, the dragons will leave. They'll find another home! One more search before the ice sets in." Stoick says out to the sea of Vikings. "Those ships never come back." "we're Vikings. it's an occupational hazard. now who's with me?" Stoick asks out to the crowd. In return he gets "count me out" "todays no good for me" "I have to do my axe returns." "All right. those who stay will look after hiccup." Stoick stands up straight. Everyone's hands shoot up "to the ships!" "I'm with you!" and more. "Aye. that's more like it" Stoick says.
