6 ~ dragon training

i also can't do gobbers accent well... so, yeah.

the vikings and dragon riders looked at the screen. F!hiccups mind was racing 'now that they know will the future change? will dad not except us anymore? will we cease to exist?' F!hiccup knew he should probably stop with the questions and looked at the screen.

hiccup walks to the pond calling out "hey, toothless. i brought breakfast. i hope you're hungry". he sets down a basket then kicks it over, revealing tons of fish. toothless' eyes widen and goes to the right of the basket as hiccup goes to the left. "okay, that's disgusting. we've got some salmon, some nice icelandic cod and a whole smoked eel." as hiccup finishes toothless jolts his head back. he snarls and when hiccup picks it up he roars, turning his head away.

the vikings smirk knowing they could use this to scare the dragons. "Hah! dragons are scared of eels?" snotlout holds his stomach laughing but everyone ignores him.

"no, no, no, no, no! it's okay." hiccup throws the eel away from the two of them. "yeah, i don't really like eel much either." he continues, wiping his hand on his pants. toothless sniffs then starts eating the fish and hiccup takes the distraction to walk over to toothless' tail. "that's it. that's it. just stick with the good stuff. and don't you mind me. i'll just be back here, minding my own business." he lays the make-shift tail down and quietly pushes the tail over. when the tail moves hiccup looks at toothless and see's most of the fish gone. hiccup keeps trying to move the handmade tail over but the real one keeps moving "it's okay" he says quietly. he gets fed up though and holds it down to the best of his abilities. toothless sticks his head into the basket, looking for more fish. hiccup sits on top of his tail and is able to latch the fake tail to the real one. toothless looks forward and moves his body slightly. toothless drops his wings to the floor as he widens his eyes and slightly opens his mouth in realization.

"uh oh" hiccup whispers, having a bad feeling about what was going to happen. F!hiccup hears him and laughs "it's not too bad. only a few bruises". hiccup widens his eyes in horror and F!hiccup laughs more and puts a reassuring hand onto his younger self's shoulder.

hiccup adjusts the tail and behind him, toothless raises his wings. hiccup smiles "that's not too bad. it works-" he is cut off when toothless jumps up. "whoa! whooaa! no, no, no, no!" the artificial tail is closed which causes toothless to start falling "whoa!" hiccup yells.

hiccup gasps lightly but sighs in relief at the next part.
