An hour or two passed since you had arrived with the friendly monsters to a tea party.
It was dark for sure, the evening stars gleaming in the mass of sky and moon nearly full.
Though you couldn't really care less about that, you were having a time of your life, with people who were close and loving and food that was of great quality. You had forgotten what things like these felt like, and for the first time in years, you genuinely felt close to people.

You didn't take much part if at all at telling stories about yourself or your family, but you where keen to listen to everyone's stories, enjoying the memories that played on your imagination skills, which was nice.
You didn't have to worry about your small brother at the time, you had already contacted his friends mother and they were going to have a sleepover, which was a relief.

"AND BOOM! THE HUMAN HAD FOUND HIS WAY OVER MY GREAT AND POWERFUL SPECIAL ATTACK, AS IF THEY JUST FLEW!! WELL- I MEAN THEY DID BUT STILL AND THATS WHEN I DECIDED TO CALL FRISK MY BEST FRIEND!"

"Well not as best as my best friend relationship with Frisk"

"LIES ALL OF THEM THEY WERE MY BESTIE FIRST!"

"HAH you think you can outmatch me?"

"I AM THE GREAT PAPYRUS AFTER ALL"

"Well the first to fly to hotland is the better!"

"ITS A DEAL"

"Wait dears isn't-"

Quickly Papyrus and Undyne rushed out the door and took off, not allowing Toriel a say, which she simply shook her head to.

"Goodness those two, always a competition." She pulled herself off from her chair, slowly taking everyone's plates and cups into paw, "it's getting late for a school day, so all of us should really head home, I'm so sorry L/n for keeping you from your brother"

You simply shrugged, picking yourself up and helping with the dishes along with Alphis and Asgore, "it's no problem miss Toriel, my brother is going by his friends for the night, but I should still get back home to clean up" you hummed, remembering how you left your house, well at least the study was clean.

"Such a responsible little thing aren't you? Ohoho my not many your age really care for responsibility"  Toriel giggled, placing the pots of tea in a large sink before moving around you to grab the rest of the plates, "which I hope you don't mind me asking, but how old might you be?" She asked

"Twenty in afew months" you replied, taking a moment to remember your birthdate.

Toriel seemed to buzz in delight to hear that response, though for what looked like multiple reasons as her golden eyes looked closely in one direction which you couldn't see as it was behind you, but she quickly turned back to get a cloth.
"That's wonderful to hear! All of us are going walking around the mountain for a bit of exercise and to gaze at the flora by then, Asgore is keen he might find some pokeweed in the wilderness- since humans aren't very great at mixing the brew of that plant, you could join us for that if you don't have plans" she hummed.

She was right, pokeweed has always been a plant that if not brewed correctly, could actually poison you, infact so many reports had been going around about smuggling of fined pokeweed that only holds the most deadly of mixes. It's been a well known poison for beer, but with the arrival of monsters, it had skyrocketed, only to realise that companies had been false blaming the race and several hefty business had to be shut down and removed all pokeweed harvest, mount ebbot now has rare sights of pokeweed after the raid of them, such a shame it's how the world works.

"I'd love to miss Toriel, though I might need to bring my brother along if my mother's still working" you replied, slowly squeezing your way out the kitchen when Alphis handed you your bag which you of course thanked

"Well I should get going now, it was nice meeting you all, great tea" you bidded, turning around only to bump face first into a mesh of... Fairly warm fabric which smelt.. familiar

"Oh dear, can you please walk L/n home, at this hour many dangerous things tend to happen" Toriel spoke from the kitchen, you quickly stepped back, holding at your bag, seeing the skeleton before.... Sans was it?

You gave a frowned almost angry look at him, the last person you wanted near you... Awake.

Sans hummed to Toriels request, looking slightly down at you with his greyish pinpricks, a grin sharply spread as he returned your glare with a sarcastic grin.

"Right Tori I'll make sure the lass gets home safe" he shrugged, wings lazily held back as he moved from right Infront of you, to the door, opening it for you, though with a questionable stare. Just studying out all of you, making you feel like you were judged..

"Now after you bub" he sung, forcing you out of your thinking as you quickly moved past him, definitely uncomfortable with his anonymous presence.

He followed after, bringing his wings out to open, but only barely. Looking at you, he seemed to ponder of your jacket which rested suggly over your form and wings.
Raising a bone brow to you he mentally said "so are you gonna fly or what" though that grin seemed to tell you that he knew something...

You simply turned around and started making your long walk back to your home, obviously trying not to make any eye contact to the nerve shattering skeleton. Which he just seemed to shrug off.

Past the MTT store and past your work, past most of the city buildings till you both had reached the dirt road.

"So, ya just walk to and from places? Isn't it.. I dunno, wasteful walking when we could have made it to your place in half the time?" Sans began, more complaining to the fact he had to walk with you since you noticed his breathing became shallow.

"Exercise" you replied shortly, soon making it to the tree that had fallen on you, clear to see char on its side from the impact with lightning, it wasn't massive, but still big enough for you to need to climb over.

"Sure" he replied, swiftly flapping over the tree, some feathers seeping out, from possible moulting.. or perhaps an unhealthy diet.
You huffed, swiping away at a feather that was in your face. You pushed your fractured wrist to your chest, making sure not to use it while climbing as you grabbed at a stump and heaved your two legs up, comfortably landing them to sit on the tree, seeing Sans was already walking forward...

You tsked, leaning to the other side of the tree to you slipped off, in a way falling in order to reach the other side. Thankfully Sans' pace was slower than yours, so you were quick to catch up.

"Getting enough exercise dove?" Sans hummed, seeing how you were getting tired of all the walking, though not as much as him.

You simply huffed, "more than you lazy" you replied back, seeing your home fade into veiw, finally you felt somewhat safer.
Sans was soon behind you again as you made it up the small hill to your front pouch, though he didn't enter further to the fence that separated your small front yard to the road.
Though you didn't care to look back as you unlocked the door.

"Welp I'm gonna head off, guess I'll see you around human" and after that followed the sound of flapping, indicating he had finally left.. you gave a deep sigh.

"Thank god he's gone" you mumbled to yourself, allowing yourself in. You placed down your bag by the front door before making away with your homework, going upstairs and to your clean study, peeling off your jacket and placed it onto the floor, allowing your thoughts to be drowned by work as the night .
