A sharp cold breeze nipped at your soft cheeks, the sudden change in temperature made you jolt awake.
Thankfully your chair didn't tumble over ultimately killing you.
Grumbling under your strained breath you slowly start getting used to the surroundings.Strange.......
No nightmares last night...Eyes glassy from sleep, you blinked them away with tired tears the warm liquid soothing your dry eyes, when you came to your senses the sun outside reflected off the smooth wooden table right into your unsuspecting face.
So much for a normal waking.Seeing the window infront of you wide open allowing the cold morning breeze right into the room you were in made you squint in utter confusion.
You moved yourself over your study desk, leaning on it to reach the handle bars of the open windows, while doing so a blanket slipped off your back, exposing more of yourself to the air.Shivering to yourself, you quickly pulled the windows to each other and locking them with a satisfying click.
"*Sigh*..... I don't think I left the window open last night. Maybe the wind just blew it open, oh well"
You huffed looking at the fabric that lay on the floor.
Pulling it to you and stretching it out to get a better view of it.
"‽, When did I put this on me?, I didn't know we owned this blanket...... Did mom come back home and put this on me while I was sleeping....... Maybe." You shrugged of your confusion.
The blanket was large and you were barley able to spread it to it's full length with your own arms, a dark blue nearly midnight blue was the cloth infront of you, having an illusion of it being pure black, golden hems on the longer sides of the fabric and on each corner lay a simple pattern, at closer glance the wavy lines made a bird in mid flight with the same golden colours.
The smell of it was...... Odd, not a dirty smell but not freshly clean, it's was comforting to smell, but that sounds wierd.
The fabric was soft and fluffy like cotton but looked delicate like silk.A very expensive blanket non the less.
"Must be mom's" you sighed, folding the blanket and placing it on the chair glancing at it one more time, "right?"
Looking at the floor you still see your varsity jacket on the floor.
Just were you left it.
You smiled placing it on your back and slipping your arms in."Comfy" you giggled leaning into the jackets embrace.
You made your way out the room, closing the door behind you.The smell of something burning slivered into your nostrils the moment you reached the stairs, tears pricking your eyes to the odour, you sprinted down the stairs to the kitchen, full panic written on your face.
Apon entering you could see a fire raging on.
In one corner you could see your brother blocked off by the flames threatening to burn him alive, the small brother fluttering his wings in fear and trying to put out the fire with the wind he was blowing, but actually feeding it more. The source of the fire was the oven and was quickly crawling its way to the cupboards and checkered floors.
Yelping, you without hesitation took your jacket from your back and started beating the fire that was cornering Kris, before grabbing him into your arms and rushing him out your home, then going straight back into the home.
Kris had an unknown expression on his face but you were too busy to be concerned about him as he was already out of danger. While back in the house you were in full panic throwing buckets apon buckets of water in hope to kill the fire.
But instead was growing from the liquid that was ushered in itself.
