Sydney Bay Jane

I was in the middle of planning an upcoming block party when I got a call.

Chyna got mad at my unprofessionalism as we had a pact to have no phones during work.

Before slipping my phone in my purse, I saw that it was Donovan calling. Ignored.

"Sorry," I winced, clicking my pen.

"So, anyway," Rielle went on. "Thoughts?"

"Well," Lana spoke, "I think-"

Another phone call cut her off mid-sentence.

"Must be an emergency," Chy sighed, "take it."

I mouthed another "sorry" and stepped out of the office.

I didn't even want to talk to the like of Tony' slimey manager but I answered the call anyway.

"What?" I spoke in the phone.

"Your boy needs you; he has an award show tonight and needs help with styling. Warning: he's at the bottom of the bottle."

Donovan hung up and I said under my breath, "Of course he is."

"Oh, Cindy, hi," Lena greeted me at the door

"Oh, Cindy, hi," Lena greeted me at the door.

I blinked, probably looking slow at her. "It's Sydney."

"Sorry, love. Come in," she allowed, making way so I could walk inside the 14 bedroom mansion.

Every time I entered Tony's home I felt like he'd trap me there.

"Water?" the mother of his future child offered.

I rubbed down my arms and put on a polite smile. "No, thanks."

She just looked at me warmly.

Lena was a tall woman, standing at 5'11". She even wore heels up to six inches high all the time to feel more "powerful" as she mentioned in an interview.

A friend called her on Facetime and Lena grinned big, flashing her baby bump.

I shook my head and wandered around the home.

How pathetic does she look and she doesn't even know. I wanted to do her a favor and say "your husband is a menace." But what good would that do?

"Tony's upstairs, you can go find him," Lena spoke.

I looked at her, bored.

"What?" she lightly laughed in short.

My platform boots stomped the floor as I met her in the kitchen.

As I thought up what to say and how, my mouth twisted.

I couldn't let this lady go on not knowing even a slither of the truth.
