Kagome was at a loss for words. She blinked rapidly, continuously rubbing her eyes to assure herself that what she was seeing was indeed true. His hair sat high in a pony tail, Hakkai looking uncannily similar to Enkai. Though Enkai's expression differed from the young boy's, for utter terror could be seen painted across his face like a portrait.

Inuyasha began to sharpen his claws on his clothing, while both Sesshomaru and Ahren looked on surprised also. Sango turns to fix her gaze on her loving husband, who seemed to be in a daze as he stared directly at Kagome.

Kagome's heart began to beat uncontrollably, poison still being pumped within her body. A dark purple aura, that the colour of poison still lingered in the air around her, and her hair rose up in fury.
Hakkai just grins as he puts his fingers to his chin.

"Hakkai.... what the hell are you doing!?" Enkai asks. Hakkai just sighs, shrugging his shoulders in response to the Elf's question. He seemed far more interested in Kagome.

"I was rather irked with how you ran the forest, Prince" Hakkai spat. "So I thought I would go off to find that which I could have under my own control"

"What could you have possibly found?!" Sango yells.

"Hm?" Hakkai turns to look at her. "I do not know you" he replies. "Therefore I suggest you shut your mouth if you value your life"

Miroku growls under the warmth of his breath, as he placed his hand over his beads, suggesting that he removes it. As he did that, Sango grabbed the tip of her boomerang and swung it over her shoulder.

"You cannot use that to kill me" he sighs once more. "Honestly, all the intelligent ones prove to be most foolish, for they always seem to underestimate my powers"

"I knew it was you!" Inuyasha smugly exclaims.

"My point exactly" Hakkai replies. Inuyasha grew beat red, mostly caused by rage.

Hakkai takes in a needed breath of air and once he released it, he reopened his eyes for the other's to discover that they had turned a crimson red. He runs his fingers through his hair one last time, but as he did so, his ears lowered to point at the ground, and his once golden strands of hair, burnt to a soot black.

"A blood elf?" Sango inquired. Enkai shook his head, swinging his longbow over his shoulders to take grip.

"Dark elf..." he said with an almost pained expression as disgust was seen throughout his body language. Kagome looks on sorrowfully at her "friend"

Hakkai's smirk widens at sight. "I promised domination over your forests for those poor, disadvantaged, bastards" he announces. "It was hardly my decision, for they bestowed upon me black magic, and with that new power, I instantly became invincible"

"I feel sorry for you"

Everyone glanced at Kagome, who displayed a somewhat twisted grin of her own. "Oh-ho? You feel sorry for me?"

"I truly do" she answers. "I would have done the same thing if forced into the shadow of someone so much more.... likeable then yourself. Year after year, trying to catch up to him, to match him. Hell. You became so determined to be like him, that you lost your own identity, and gained one which is only a mere copy of your idol"

"Well, as interestingly pointless as that was-"

"I'm not finished.. little boy" she mocks. A giggle bursting through the slim gap between her lips. "I understand completely why you abandoned your only family to join some morphed, lonesome little cult. It's because both you and I share the same thoughts. We both know that you would have never been strong enough to live up to Enkai's expectations, to be who you are rather then who you are not. You will never be the man Enkai is, and you know that, don't you? Isn't that why you left?"
