Chapter 40 : Mother's View Of Her Son-in-Law

When Jennie woke up, she was confused. She felt like her pillow was hard and somewhat awkward. She tried to turn over to get more comfortable, but she inadvertently bumped into a thick and warm chest.

Almost instantly, Jennie sobered up and her eyes traveled along the warm arms until she saw the Lisa's gentle eyes.

"You've woken up?" Lisa lowered his head and kissed Jennie's forehead.

Jennie blinked, last night's activities returning to her and Lisa saw her face slowly reddening.

"Ah..." At Jennie's shy look, Lisa couldn't help but laugh.

"What are you laughing at?" Jennie was embarrassed and left Lisa's embrace. She wanted to sit up, but the quilt slipped down as she did so, revealing her chest. With a cry of alarm, Jennie quickly laid back down.

Extremely satisfied with the soft body back in his arms, Lisa smile grew as he hugged Jennie.

Jennie was speechless. Being in such an embarrassing situation so early in the morning, she could only bite Lisa's chest to vent.

"Stop, don't make any more trouble. We need to get up for dinner, and leave afterward." New Year's was in two days, Lisa and Jennie planned to drive to her hometown today.

"You get up first." Jennie said as she looked up with wide eyes.

Being faced with such a lovely look, Lisa couldn't hold back and kissed Jennie deeply. It was only after that he had the endurance to get up and go to the bathroom to wash up first.

Jennie placed a hand over her drumming heart as she looked down at the rumpled clothes on the floor. Taking advantage of the empty room, she rushed to pick up her clothes and fled to the second bedroom.

When Lisa came out of the bathroom and saw the empty bed, he quickened his pace. He dressed and wiped his hair with his towel before heading to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

After half an hour, Jennie appeared. When she saw Lisa and the laid out breakfast, her face reddened uncontrollably.

"Come, sit down and eat." Lisa noticed that Jennie lingered at the doorway, so he beckoned her in.

"Oh..." Jennie walked and stiffly sat down.

The Jennie who rarely woke up this early had no appetite. After eating two poached eggs, she took her milk and slowly drank. Lisa looked up to see her lips stained with milk and couldn't help but reach out to wipe it away.

Jennie didn't avoid his hand, but her shy eyes fluttered, and she couldn't look at him in the eye.

"How come you weren't shy like this when we first met?" Lisa asked.

"What are you talking about?" As a reborn golden leftover woman, Jennie will never admit to the fact that she was just a giant in theory and a dwarf in practice.

(T/N As in she's only knowledgable in the theory side, and when it comes to the doing it in for real, she has no experience)

Lisa stood up and bit Jennie's small mouth, ah...it tastes like milk.

"You..."

"Don't seduce me, or we'll miss my mother-in-law's dinner." Lisa sat back and continued to eat his breakfast.

Jennie felt like she had just lost something, lost to this cheeky man opposite of her. Cough...when did this man become so shameless?

Jennie's hometown was in the middle of Jeonju. It would usually take 2 hours by train, but because there weren't any buses that went to Jennie's village, they would have to get off the train and board several buses.
