Goodbye

Last part of Kitten on the branches. A final goodbye to Xiao's kitty ears made by xingqiu at 2:67am one night. A big thank you to my dear leprechaun BryNumberOneFan for giving me the motivation to keep this story going.

Venti's pov

It's hard saying all of this but I feel suckindeez getting stronger every minute. I don't think I'll be able to hold it until tomorrow, so tonight is the end. Saying goodbye to Dvalin was also really hard, although he knew this would happen eventually. He took me to the clouds for the last time. The world was so small from all the way up there.

I wonder what's beyond the life we are given. I remember hatching from an egg. So tiny, the first thing I craved was a bird ⋛⋋(◐⊝◑)⋌⋚ and now I have it. I have no regrets, I saw my boyfriend with kitten ears on our favorite tree. The apples in my balls are round with joy.

(Tbh I completely forgot what is going on in the story right now....)

The time kept going as they talked about memories. There was this one time Xiao's boots got dirty and venti told him to take them off. While he did that, a full plate of noodles falls out with hot sauce dripping on the corner. Spicy toes. There was also a time when Venti found a little family of foxes. Xiao named two of them Pelusa and Piojo. The other three where named Mailbox, Alphine Rd and ash. Only Ash survived the first month with them because Dvalin ate then. Ash later got strucked by lightning.

Xiao began to get sleepy, since he didn't get any rest the night before. As much as he tryed to hide it, venti saw right through him. He's eyes began to get heavier and he reached the point where it was too hard to keep them open. He fell asleep even though he kept pinching himself to stay awake.

Venti saw his resting face and smiled. He would be gone soon. In the meantime, he started humming a song. There was something special about this song. It was the one his friend used to sing to him when they went to sleep. They now will be reunited, finally.

Xiao later on woke up panicking. Looking everywhere for Venti. But he wasn't there. He couldn't believe he let  himself sleep. Even worse, he didn't have time to say goodbye.

Devastated by this, he got a pokemon ball out of his sleeve and summoned Rip. A huge beast that pushed him off the cliff. Now he could be with venti all over again. And forever this time.
