January 26

I didn't write any entries yesterday...I got busy with Sunny, hehe! A lot of things happened; I can't even keep up myself. Yesterday felt like a dream, but I know it's real...he said he likes me. He likes me!! Can you believe that? Diary, do you think we'll work out? After he leaves, it's going to be a long-distance relationship...but wait!! It's not like we're together together or anything!! What am I thinking? Am I assuming things too much? I don't know, I just really really really really really like him. I'm so overjoyed...to think the boy I love likes me back...

Basil could not continue writing. Every time he tried to do so, his thoughts get filled with so much Sunny that he gets distracted. He's fallen really deep now; he doesn't know if he can even climb up anymore. He doesn't want to, though.

Tomorrow, then?

He remembered Sunny's words. Any time, he could be arriving at his house to do absolutely nothing, but they liked that. The silent and warm presence of each other. Like nothing could ever harm them as long as they're together.

Wow, they're so cheesy...

Basil picked up his camera, something he hasn't done in a while. He remembered to take out his almost-forgotten photo album that he cherished so much. Well, the original one is with Sunny – this was just a 'remake,' since he still wanted the photos with him. Out of all their friends, Sunny was the one he took the most pictures of. He always brushed it off saying it's because they he's the closest person to him in their friend group, but it was because he's always had a little crush on him. He needs a new camera, though. His current one's getting really old. Still functional, but old. The quality isn't as good as back then.

When Sunny arrived, Basil pointed his camera at the door before opening it.

He took a snap the moment it opened.

Sunny was taken aback, hiding his face with his hands. "W-What the hell!?"

"Perfect! You looked so handsome, Sunny,"

"At least tell me before taking a picture!"

"I prefer candid moments," he reasoned. "Plus, candid photos of you are always so cute because you're so unaware,"

"W-Whatever," he stepped inside, taking off his coat.

"Anything you wanna do at the moment?"

"Spend the day with you."

"Well, that's obvious! But...you know, something specific?"

Sunny noticed Polly in the living room. "Let's step inside your room."

"My room...?" Basil asked, puzzled.

"Let's just go. Hey, Polly."

Polly waved before Sunny took Basil's hand and dragged him into his room. It's been a while since he came there.

"Not much has changed," he noticed. "Still lots of flowers and plants everywhere."

"They're my most precious hobby after all."

"What was the flower that reminded you of me again?"

"Um...tulips...?"

"Yeah, those! You told me a long, long time ago. I just remembered now. What was the reason?"

"I also told you that, but...it's because they're comfortable, simple, modest, and...." He looked at him. "Perfect."

Sunny took a few seconds before responding. "You really have a way with words. They sound poetic...in a way."
