CHAPTER 6

“Lagot na naman tayo nito kay boss.”

“Yes wala na naman tayong benta ngayong gabi Thiol.”

“You instilled harrassment to those two.I pity you.Maaga mo talagang makikita ang mga magulang mo sa sementeryo.”

Bago kaming dalawa na nakalabas ng shop ay narinig pa namin ang bangayan ng dalawa sa counter area.

“Sila rin yung nakita natin last night sa club.”Ani ni Mori ng makapasok na kami sa loob ng police mobile.

“Yes senpai.Sila yun.”

“Close mo?”

Napailing ako.“Hindi but they always bully me whenever we see each other.”

Nag-spray ng alcohol si Mori bago sinimulang paandarin ang mobile.

“They're hopeless.”Napailing-iling siya.“Lets start again with the patrol.”

“Yes senpai!”

Ikinabit ko ang seatbelt sa katawan ko at ibinaling ang tingin sa labas.

Why do I feel like I'm disappointed that i didn't see Q tonight?Not that i miss him.It just that i always see him whenever i'm not in good condition.

Napabuntong-hininga ako.

“Ang lalim yata ng iniisip m— tss.”

Naputol ang sasabihin sana ni Mori ng bigla tumunog ang radyo sa loob ng mobile.He even clicked his tongue in annoyance.

It's a radio message from the station.“This is West Oquicas Police Station.We have an emergency in West Port.Please respond immediately upon hearing this message.”

“This is Mori from West Oquicas Police Station.We'll go to the said location.”Mori responded.

I immediately open the police siren.We bypassed a lot of traffic signs and bicycles just to reach our destination.Isa lamang ito sa mga normal na nangyayari sa tuwing nagpapatrol kami.We're lucky enough if walang krimen na mangyari sa isang gabi naming pagpapatrol.

“What a pain!”Mori clicked his tongue again in annoyance.

“Chill senpai.Its part of our work.”Pagpapakalma ko sa kanya.I don't even know if it calms him.

“Thats why it's annoying.”He rolled his eyes.He is clearly pissed with tonight's work.

Napakapit na lamang ako ng mahigpit sa upuan ko at seatbelt dahil sa bilis ng pagmamaneho ni Mori.He can pass as a professional reckless criminal driver with his skills.

If ever i have a guardian angel,please let us live longer because tonight my buddy is siding with the devil.

Napabuga ako ng hangin ng sa wakas ay nakarating kami sa aming destinasyon.West Port.

I can see piles of boats,private yachts,and cargo ships in the shore.From the bay walk there's a lot of market vendors who sells different street foods,vegetables,fruits,meats and seasonings.Kasing dami ng liwanag na nagkalat sa paligid ang tao sa lugar na ito.Hatinggabi na pero parang umaga parin dito.

Agad kaming bumaba sa police mobile.

“This is Mori from West Oquicas Police Station.We have arrive in West Port.”Radio ni Mori sa station bago kami lumapit sa commotion na nagaganap hindi kalayuan sa bukana ng market.

We obviously came here to exercise our power as a part of the law enforcement.My guardian angel,please let the situation just a normal one so we can do a simple peace and order solution.

Napapitlag ako ng may biglang sumigaw sa gitna ng nag-uumpugang mga tao sa market.

“You bastard bring that back or i slice you in half!”
