For The Love of A Daughter

Chapter 21

I woke up to find my beautiful little girl wrapped in my arms. I smiled at her and kissed her forehead. She moved closer, making my arms tighten around her. I don't want to let her go.

"Mommy don't go."

She was having another nightmare. I shook her and she opened her eyes. As soon as she saw me she wrapped her arms around me.

"Miley, I'm right here." I whispered in her ear. She hugged me close and I held her tight in my arms.

"I love you Miley."

"I love you too Morgan."

"Come on honey, let's go and get something to eat."

"Okay."

I got up and held her in my arms. We walked in the kitchen and sat at the table. My mom, dad, and Kylie were sitting there. I tried to set Miley down, but she wouldn't let go.

"Mom has she seen John's parents?" I asked her.

"Yea, but it's been awhile."

"Do you think I can take her to see them?"

"Yea, that would be fine."

"Thanks."

I let go of Miley, but she still held on to me.

"Miley come on, eat. I'm not going anywhere. I'm with you all day."

She finally let go and sat next to me. I got up and brought pancakes over and we both started eating. My parents left the room, so I looked at Kylie.

"I think I'm going to head back."

"Why?" I frowned. It's not safe for her to go back.

"Well, you need to spend time with her and besides I need Nate right now."

"You okay?"

"Yea, you know what I mean by need."

"Right. When are you going?"

"Soon."

I looked at Miley and smiled. I'm so happy to spend this day with her.

"When are you going back?"

"I don't know I need to talk to John."

"Morgan, don't leave."

"I'm not, I'm right here with you." Tears filled my eyes, I got up going back to my room. Kylie came in and wrapped her arms around me.

"It will be okay."

"No it won't, you have no idea how much this hurts. When I leave here who knows when I will see my daughter again."

She didn't say anything, she just held me why I cried on her shoulder. I heard footsteps and I knew it was Miley. She stood in front of me, and then came over whipping my face.

"Don't cry." She frowned.

Kylie let me go and Miley came over to me wrapping her arms around me. I calmed down and just held her in my arms.

"Miley, go watch TV with Aunt Kylie while I take a shower."

"Okay."

She let me go, they walked to the living room. I got my stuff and jumped in the shower. I wish John was here and we didn't have to worry about any of this anymore. Tears filled my eyes, thinking about of this. I want her to call me mom or mommy, not Morgan. I should have never left her, and then she would be calling me that. If I could go back to when I found out I was pregnant, I would change everything.
