Chapter 4

Stella's POV
After everyone was done congratulating us. I helped out behind the bar because I was on shift but I spent most of my time talking to Kelly and when I wasn't talking to Kelly I was thinking about him. After my shift at Molly's was over Kelly and I went and we cuddled together until I fell asleep with the comfort of Kelly surrounding me. I always feel safest when I am with Kelly. When the alarm went off, I didn't want to get up but Kelly shook me gently to wake me up. I immediately woke up and gave him a kiss on the lips. "Morning to you too." He says as we separated from the kiss. We then got out of bed and while I went to take a shower, Kelly went to go make us coffee. After Kelly was finished making us coffee I was done in the shower. Then Kelly gets in the shower as I finish getting ready. By the time we are both ready it is time to go to work. When we got to the firehouse everyone was congratulating us again and calling us love birds but everyone calling us love birds was kind of annoying Kelly and I. Once everyone was done calling us love birds and congratulating us it was time for the morning briefing. After briefing Kelly and I spent most of the shift in Kelly's office talking and hanging out together. When we did come out of his office we were always together staring at each other and holding hands. It was so easy to forget about my problems when I look into Kelly's eyes. When we go into the common room to eat we notice that 51 is not in there eating which is odd because normally most of truck and engine are in there. So Kelly and I went looking around for our people. When we finally found them we noticed that they were being held at gunpoint by a bunch of gang members trying to shelter from a rival gang. Once we see this Kelly immediately starts trying to protect me, he is so loving. " What do we do now?" I asked " We call our friends over at intelligence. Kelly said. Then I called Erin Lindsay and told her what is happening at the firehouse. She tells us to hang tight and try not to get caught or shot or both. I started to worry about my family at 51 and how I would not be ok if one of them dies, but when Kelly comes over and hugs me I immediately start feeling better. " What's wrong?" He asked " What if one of them gets shot? What are we supposed to do?" I asked back. " We stay calm because we know that some of the best paramedics and firefighters are out there and they will do everything they can do to help" Kelly reassured me.
