"Not to be rude or anything, but if you have no eyes, how do you see?" Toga attempted to open a can with her teeth. It wasn't working.
"Toga! You can't just ask people how they see!" Twice switched to looking at All for One, "Don't hold it against her Mr. For One, she's just learning!"
"I'm not worried about it, it was a simple question after all," AFO began, and then answered Toga's inquiry, "I see through infrared, so nothing can hide from me."
"So you're like a snake, then." Dabi commented, with little inflection.
"I suppose of sorts, I am." All for One nonchalantly answered, returning to fixing the lapels on his shirt. "Are any of you really aware of what Tomura has been doing this entire time?"
"He's been working on his plan to kill All Might." Dabi stated, turning as if he were finished with the conversation. "Obviously something like that would take awhile."
Toga stopped what she was doing. She couldn't tell if Dabi cared about Tomura returning. Or, if he felt something was off. He had mentioned that freeing All for One was potentially a bad idea. What did Dabi feel about any of this? He seemed indifferent about being a villain, or hero for that matter.
"Of course it would take awhile," All for One waved off Dabi's rebuttal, then continued with a backhanded remark, "Especially when he can turn things to dust with the mere touch of his hand."
"But that's why we got you!" Toga exclaimed, "We're not sure what to do, we want him back!"
All for One smiled with an All Might-mocking grin.
He then went on about how he figured that would be the case—after all, Tomura had wanted to be a hero since he was a child—and that they could get him back... However, they would need to be patient. Tomura was likely to pull through at the last moment. On the off chance that he didn't pull through as per the norm, "Then we'll just have to take matters into our own hands. Give him a proper push, the heroes have probably been messing with his head all this time, after all."
That was what All for One inferred.
Sure, Toga agreed, considering she would do whatever it took to have the entire group all together again. She missed Tomura with all of her being, and she didn't quite believe that he would just up and ditch them—not to go and play hero, anyway.
But Dabi seemed to believe differently. He didn't participate in the debates, or add an opinion of his own into coming up with a plan to bring Tomura back... He often just stared in the distance, and fell silent when the topic arose.
Day two of three was spent with Dabi, hanging out, as he requested. Most of the way, Toga and Dabi were quiet. Toga attempted to strike up a conversation, but Dabi looked more like he had something more important to say than how he was doing, or what his favorite song was.
Once Toga was just about to give up asking tedious questions, he spoke up.
"Is wanting to be a hero really so bad?"
It made Toga's heart—as well as her feet—stop. "So, you're leaving us too, huh?"
"No, honestly, I don't ever see myself being a hero. I mean, look at me." Dabi raised his arms, and turned, as if he were showing off his outfit. But, he was calling attention to his villainous demeanor. "However, isn't that what we all wanted to be at some point? A hero?"
"I just want Tomura back. Then we can be happy." Toga clenched her teeth together, her brow furrowing with dismay. "He can't leave us behind."
"Why stop him from being happy?"
