I look down at Camilo, his adoring eyes gazing up at me, a beautiful, gold, diamond ring perched between his fingers. There's a moment of silence, before a smile cracks across my face. "Yes! Of course I will, mi amor!" I exclaim, tears coming to my eyes. A relieved smile appears on his face as he slides the ring onto my finger. Before I can say anything else he jumps up, wrapping his arms around me and kissing me. My hands are tangled in his hair and his arms hold the small of my back. I'm filled with feelings of elation and joy, and the only thing that makes sense right now is to keep Camilo's lips on mine.

"Te amo, Y/n," he whispers, his hands still around my waist. "I love you too," I say back, unable to stop smiling. The next moment a glowing light catches my eye. Around us thousands of fireflies begin to appear. They encircle us, illuminating the whole lakeside. I laugh a little at the bewildering sight. Camilo beams, and after gazing around at the beautiful creatures our eyes meet again. There is an indescribable feeling of happiness erupting inside me, and I know that Camilo feels it too.

"Did it work?" I hear a high pitched voice cry out from a distance. I turn my head to see Antonio running out of the trees towards us, a wide toothy smile on his face. "Si, Tonito, it was espectacular!" I laugh, as he wraps me in a hug. Mirabel, Isabella, Dolores and Luisa come running from the trees shortly after Antonio. They embrace me and Dolores punches Camilo's arm, mentioning how long it took him to pluck up the courage to finally pop the question. I laugh and give Camilo an understanding look as he looks apologetic for the intrusion on our moment. But nothing could ruin it, his family has become my family, and there is nothing more special than us being together.

"So do you understand why we were being weird today?" Mirabel asks me as we walk back through the trees towards Casita, my hand in Camilos. "We needed to keep you away from Camilo so that he could set everything up!" Dolores chimes in. "Well I appreciated it." I say, turning to give Camilo a kiss. He smiles shyly, blush sprinkling his face. "I'm glad you liked it," he says, leaning towards me so our noses brush against each other playfully. The sun has disappeared completely so we find our way back to Casita by lantern light. I rest my head on Camilo's shoulder, gazing up at the moon, which glows brightly in the clear night sky.

As we open the front door Julieta, Pepa, Agustin, Felix, Mariano and Abuela run out of the living room. "She said yes!" Camilo exclaims, punching the air with his fist, visibly overjoyed. I laugh at his excitement and show them the ring. "Oh mi, es bonita!" Abuela says, holding my left hand in hers and examining the ring. "I'm so proud of you, hijo," Pepa says, a rain cloud forming above her head as she embraces her son. Felix gives him a thumbs up, tears visible in his eyes. Julieta and Agustine hug the both of us, more tears of happiness coming from them.

"Val and Nat are asleep," I hear Mariano say to Dolores. After many congratulations, and a few more tears, Abuela finally sends us up to bed. Camilo keeps his fingers interlaced with mine as we walk up the stairs and towards his room. My room, reflective of my gift of water manipulation, has a pool of water in the center, and a spiral white staircase that leads up to a bed hovering on a large cloud. The last few months I've spent most nights in Camilo's room, (I'm too lazy to walk up those stairs every night.)

I flop down onto the covers, Camilo following suit beside me. He turns onto his side to face me, caressing my cheeks with his hands. My eyelids are heavy and tired, but I continue to gaze into Camilo's hazel eyes. My body feels heavy against the mattress beneath me, and Camilo's hands feel comforting against my face. "Te amo," I whisper, closing my eyes as he kisses my forehead. "Te amo, hermosa," he whispers back. I let him wrap his arms around my waist and he hugs me towards him. His sweet aroma takes me back to the moments earlier today. The proposal was one of the happiest feelings in my life, and my mind is filled with dreams that guide me off to sleep.
