"You may kiss!" The priest says, and I lean in, meeting Camilo's lips half way. It's as if fireworks have exploded in my chest. My eyes closed and my arms around Camilo's neck, I keep kissing him, the sound of people clapping and cheering seems to be coming from miles away. At this moment it is only me and him. Together.

As we separate the noise of the guests comes flooding into my ears. I smile widely up at Camilo, who is beaming back at me. "Te amo, hermosa," He whispers for only me to hear. "Te amo, mi vida," I whisper back, before the two of us turn to the now standing crowd of our friends and family. The feeling is so surreal, for a moment I'm taken back to the first time I met Camilo, how all these people were once strangers. So much has changed, so much time has passed and now I'm standing in a beautiful wedding dress, hand in hand with the love of my life, my husband.

1 hour later...

I put down my knife and fork after finishing my plate of absolutely delicious food that Julieta had prepared. Filling the inner courtyard of Casita are about half a dozen round tables, populated by the wedding guests. Beside me Camilo finishes his last mouthful before standing up. "May I have this dance?" He asks, a mischievous grin plastered on his face. My heart flutters as I take his extended hand and stand up. At our motion the rest of the room leave their seats, and begin to move the tables to the side of the room, creating a large open space. The band, which moved inside from the lake, begins to play a steady melody. As we reach the middle of the makeshift dance floor Casita turns out all her lights but 1. The spotlight shines on the two of us, the rest of the room shrouded in darkness. I don't take my eyes off of Camilo as he places his hands on my waist. His touch is gentle, familiar. I rest my arms around his neck, and he leans closer, our foreheads touching. Closing our eyes, we sway to the beat of the music, forgetting the other people in the room.

"You look so beautiful, mi amor," Camilo whispers in a soft voice. My cheeks flush red, and I open my eyes to look up into his. "I can't wait to spend every minute of every day with you." His words bring tears to my eyes. "I love you, Cami," I whisper back, and tilt my head up to meet his lips. As the music continues to play, and Camilo's hands hug my body closer to his, more people begin to join the floor. We ignore them for the moment, focused only on each other. We're pulled away from each other as more and more dancers join in. Antonio grabs my hands and begins to spin around, laughing gleefully. I thank all the guests, and accept many, many hugs from Pepa, Felix and especially Agustine, who seems to be very emotional about the whole thing. The twins dance with me for the longest time, Valentina cloning herself to encircle me, as the original Val and Natalia laugh and spin me around. By the time Camilo and I find eachother again, I swear I've said thank you over a billion times.

"¡Hola stranger!" I giggle, finally coming back into Camilo's arms. "I feel like I've been congratulated like a bazillion times in the last 30 minutes!" He sighs, smiling down at me. "I know what you mean," I reply, resting my head against his chest. The band is playing a slow tone again. I sway back and forth, taking deep breaths. "Did you see Mirabel and Angelo?" I ask Camilo. "Si, mi vida, they looked muy lindo together," He replies, laughing softly to himself. "I'm glad they're happy," I sigh. "We're happy too right?" He asks me, sounding a little anxious. I look up at his eyes, a hint of concern in the hazel orbs. "If we weren't happy I wouldn't be here, with you, on this beautiful night," I say, smiling. A relieved grin spreads across his face, and he pulls me close to him.

After a few more moments the band begins to change tempo. The music picks up and I spin away from Camilo, laughing teasingly. "Come back here!" He exclaims, running towards me. I take off, weaving my way through the dancing crowd, holding the skirt of my dress up in bunches. Giggling and gasping for air, I give up when Camilo wraps his arms around my torso, burying his face in my shoulder, kissing the side of my neck. "Why don't we go somewhere more private, amor?" He murmurs. Butterflies once again erupt inside me. "Sí por favor," I whisper back, biting my lip. Camilo slips his hand into mine, our fingers interlacing. Giggling softly, we quietly slip out of the dancing crowd, and hurry up a concealed stairway, shushing each other until we reach Camilo's room. "Shall we?" Camilo whispers, his hand on the doorknob, a daring look on his face. With a nervous smile, I nod, and we slip into the room.

The rest of the night is a steamy blur, but it was perfect. The next morning I wake up with Camilo's arms around me, my wedding dress laid over a chair in the corner of the room. I roll around to face Camilo's sleeping frame, and gently kiss the tip of his nose. With a flutter of his lashes, he opens his eyes. "Goodmorning, love," I whisper, gazing into his hazel eyes. "Goodmorning, beautiful," he whispers back, a giddy smile spreading across his lips. "Last night was perfect," I say. He traces the side of my face with a delicate finger. "Si, it was." His hands find the small of my back and he pulls me closer to him. I let my lips brush teasingly against his, smiling mischievously. He pouts a little, before rolling his eyes and kissing me, deeply. The taste of his lips makes my heart beat faster in my chest.

After a few minutes he pulls back, and with tender love, he brings my hand to his lips, and kisses it gently, before rolling over and sitting up. "C'mon, hermosa," he says, extending a hand to pull me out of bed. The cold air brings goosebumps to my skin, and I shake myself in the crisp morning air that fills the room. Camilo grabs one of his favourite tops, and beckons for me to hold up my arms. "I can do it myself," I insist, looking up at him as he holds the shirt above my head. "I know you can, mi vida," he says. His smirk is frustrating in the best way. I reach for the shirt, but it's just out of my grasp. As I jump up to grab it, it rises up, and I give Camilo an accusatory look. "No fair!" I say, trying to hide my smile. He shrugs, returning to his usual height as I finally let him pull the shirt over my outstretched arms. "I could have done it myself," I repeat, and with a flick of my hand a jet of water flies out of a glass on Camilo's vanity, and hits him in the face. With a jump of surprise he wipes the droplets from his face and I burst out laughing. "Tu pequeña-" He begins wrapping his arms around me and tickling my sides. "You deserved it!" I gasp between laughs. After breaking free I catch my breath. "C'mon, amor," I say, kissing his cheek and slipping my hand into his. He smiles, leaning over to kiss the top of my head, and we leave his room, ready to see the rest of the family down in the kitchen, for the first time as wife and husband.
