(Kylie's POV)

Nearly half an hour of begging and pleading, and filling my own water bottles passed before mum finally gave in and let me go to the 'gym'. She also insisted that Daisy come and pick me up because she didn't want me to go alone, and Daisy was clearly her new hero.

I sighed. Calling Daisy would definitely satisfy mum, but Daisy? How would she react? I mean, I got drunk in front of her and almost- no, I did get into a fist fight in front of her. How- how would...?

"You know what? Fine." I whipped out the card that Daisy had given me and I called her.

She picked up on the third ring.

"Hello?"

"Daisy! It's me, Kylie!"

Immediately, I yanked the phone away from my ear.

"Kylie! Oh my god, are you okay? That cleaning fluid really did a number on you, didn't it? How come you're calling?" She squealed down the line.

"Because, I want to come to the gym and mum insists that if I'm to do that, then you need to come pick me up. Also, please feel free to tell me that you're busy or whatever, because that's totally norma-"

"I'll be there in 10."

Daisy hung up the call.

My mother smirked at me.

"See? What did I tell you?"

~~~~~~
"You're not coming to the gym, are you?"
"Actually, I wanted to join. Could you take me there tomorrow?"
"Wait, seriously?"
I nodded, pleased.
"Yeah, actually. I'm super excited about it."
Daisy blinked at me.
"Seriously?" She strained.
"Yeah! Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Because this is a huge responsibilty. And-"
I frowned.
"You don't think I've thought of that?"
Daisy handed me a helmet, and shoved me onto her bike.
"No, I just thought it would be better for you to know all the facts, and everything."
She pulled her own helmet on and got on in front of me, before gunning the engine.
"Well, I've thought of it. All of it."
Daisy's shoulders tensed.
"Hang on."
I wrapped my arms around her waist.
