PAINTED TRUTH
I stared at the colors coming from the summer sky
Sunset fades, dark hues flashing before my eyes
More and more, rain starts pouring down
You're standing there with somebody, in tears I drown
You once told me, I should never worry
That in your heart, marked my name yet felt so blurry
You reached my hand, told me that what you say is the truth
All were lies revolved around the years of my youth
As I take a step backwards down the alley
Along with the tears running, heartbroken so fully
Whispering a thousand promises you meant to break
Then I swore on that day, loving you is my greatest mistake
Darkness consumed me, I'm on the edge
All I want to do is to taste sweet revenge
Seeing you happy with the person you chose over me
I have no hope for that painted truth, it'll only break me
