Chapter 8

"Do you know that when I first saw you, I told to myself that I should to be your friend?" nakatingin lang ako sa unahan habang panay salita itong katabi ko.

Hindi ito nawawalan ng kwento kanina pa.

Her arm is still wrapped on my arm. She has no plan on letting me go. She don't want me to vanish again, kaya kami napapunta sa gan'to. Kesyo baka daw mamaya pag-tingin niya wala na ako sa tabi niya.

"I felt that you have this strange attitude which made me curious. Who knows maybe one day we'll become partners" bakas sa boses nito ang kasiyahan.

This girl and her imaginations. Hah! Friends? Never think of that. I joined because it has something to do with my plan. And making friends never occurred in my mind.

"Ano ba?" napatigil ako nang tumigil din ito. I look at her with confusion. Ano na naman bang problema nito. I didn't bother interrupting her even though my ears almost bleed because of her nonstop talking.

"Can't you at least talk to me? Kahit ngayon lang? Iparamdam mo naman na may kasama ako," she pursed her lips. Her eyes are slightly glaring at me. I don't know if she's acting or just trying not to make me mad.

"Kanina pa ako salita nang salita. You didn't even bother answering even just a nod or 'yes 'or whatsoever," dagdag pa nito.

I didn't say anything. Nanatili pa din akong nakatingin dito. I'm reading her. We're wasting time for someone's sake!

Ano ba talagang timpla nito ngayong araw?! I'm being an understanding teammate and roommate here! Listening to her nonstop nonsense! Kahit kanina ko pa gustong patigilin ito at itaboy ay hindi ko ginawa dahil alam kong mas lalo lamang itong mangungulit sa akin!

Kanina pa ako umaasang titigil ito sa kakadada ngunit hindi siya makaramdam! I'll be thankful if she'd stop and just walk with me in peace, kesa sa ganito na ako ang nahihirapan. Kanina pa ako rinding-rindi at hindi na maintindihan ang punto nito lalo na at paliko-liko ang istoryang ginagawa niya.

One time she has a point tapos iiba na naman to the point that the first plot will be ruined! Kung sakaling magiging tagapagsulat ito ng kwento ay malamang tatanda kakaintindi ang nagbabasa sa mga sinulat niya. At kung magiging tagapag-kwento man ito ay malamang dadanak ang dugo ng mga tagapakinig niya kakaintindi lamang sa salitang binibitawan nito!

"Say something, c'mon!" her voice raised a little. Kanina lang she's bubbly and happily talking, now she's annoyed. What the hell is wrong with her?!

Ano naman amg gusto niyang sabihin ko? Na nakakarindi siya at dudugo na ang utak ko kakapakinig sa kaniya?  Or that the words coming from her mouth are all nonsense and I don't care at all?!

"You're wasting my time," tanging sabi ko na lang sa madiing salita.

I thought it would make her upset and finally leave me. I thought it would make her mad and stomp out of here. But how funny it was just all my thoughts.

Imbes na magalit ay kumislap pa ang mata nito. Amusement filled it. Nangingiti ako nitong hinatak na ulit papunta sa pinaroroonan namin.

This girl will drive me crazy. Really crazy.

"Can you tell me why you wanna go to male agent's area?" she asked again.

Wala sana akong planong sumagot ngunit alam kong kahit hindi naman ako sumagot ay magsasalita pa din ito, or worse she'd think of some crazy reason and assumed that it's true. "I'm curious," tipid kong sagot.
