The whole experience yesterday with Wilbur had left Alex with more questions than he had answers. He had spent his entire class chewing on his pen and thinking of ways he could figure out what was happening with Wilbur instead of paying attention.
Of course, he could just ask Wilbur, but considering how just asking Wilbur went last time, he... was hesitant, to say the least.
Then, it hit him.
TECHNOBLADE!
He was Wilbur's brother after all, if anything was going on with him Techno would know, right?
It was perfect... Only flaw was that Alex had no clue where Techno lived.
Loverboy
Alex <3: Hey Wilbur, what building does your brother live in?
Loverboy: That's a concerning question
Alex <3: ...
Alex <3: That does sound threatening
Alex <3: Just wanted to see in I could get answers off him for this one assignment
Loverboy: Oh! Okay! He's in building 105! :D
Alex <3: Thanks!
Alex did feel awful for lying to Wilbur, but he didn't exactly want to say "hey Wilbur, I'm gonna go ask your brother about your personal life instead of you! Hope you don't mind!"
Luckily, Wilbur bought Alex's white lie... despite the fact Alex and Techno do not have a single class together and therefore have no mutual assignments...
The sound of the bell rang throughout the room, pulling Alex out of his little trance.
He quickly stood up, exited the lecture hall, and turned down the path to the dorms. As Alex walked, he looked around- his campus was beautiful, with vines climbing up and down the college buildings and lots of nature all around. He was lucky for his scholarship.
Alex came across Building 105 and knocked on the door.
A tall man with light brown hair, bright green eyes, and a freckled face opened the door, "Hello?" stared at the much shorter man with a questioning look on his face.
"Hey! Is Technoblade here?" Alex smiled. The brunette shifted before turning around, "Techno!" he called, "There someone here for you!"
The man waited a moment before looking back at Alex, "He'll be here in a moment, you can come in if you want," he stepped to the side, inviting Alex in.
Alex hesitantly walked in. The dorm was quite nice- similar to his and Schlatt's, but a bit different. He entered the living room, Techno groggily walked down the hall to meet Alex.
He perked up when he noticed Alex, "Alex? What are you doing here?" Techno asked.
"I wanted to ask about Wilbur, He's... not right."
"Oh? Um... Dream, can you leave us alone for a bit?" Techno turned his attention to his roommate.
Dream simply shrugged, nodded, and left the room.
"So... What was so important you felt the need to comfort me in person? Wait, how did you even find where I lived?" Techno wrinkled his nose, staring at Alex with untrusting eyes.
"Well, Wilbur came to see me after work, we talked for a while and everything was fine, then I asked him if he had any previous partners... You know... just trying to make small talk, and he got all awkward. He said no but he was really shaking, then he had a full-blown asthma attack... I'm just worried about him, Techno."
Techno stiffened. "Alex, I don't really think I'm the right sort of person to ask about this."
Alex looked off, "I couldn't think of anyone else to ask... I didn't want to ask Wilbur because I was worried I'd make him freak out again, and I really don't wanna upset him."
"I don't think it's my place to say anything."
"I just want to help him Techno... Please... Tell me what's going on."
"Alex, I can't-"
"You can."
"Alex, I don't think this is appropriate."
"Please!"
"Alex." Techno said, a dark tone in his voice that threw Alex off guard. "I know you want to know more about Wilbur and his life, but this isn't the way you do it. You ask him, you don't go and bother his brother. I don't even know how you found my dorm."
Alex looked off, feeling extremely embarrassed at this point, "Oh god... I'm so sorry, I honestly didn't even think..."
Techno sighed, "I like you Alex, you seem like a good guy. And I know you mean well. I also know my brother really loves you. Honestly, he won't shut up about you. But Alex, this is between you and Wilbur, it's not my place to interfere in you two's relationship."
"Again I'm so sorry about this..."
"It's fine, but please just text me next... because now my nosy jerk of a roommate is gonna be asking me so many questions about you."
Alex couldn't help but laugh.
"Thank you Techno, I'll get out of your hair now."
Techno nodded with a smile. He walked with Alex to the door and held it open for Alex. They said their goodbyes and Techno waited for Alex to leave.
He shut the door and sighed.
He walked over to the couch and flopped down. He pulled his phone out of his pocket.
guitar man
pig man: hey
guitar man: Hey Tech!
pig man: Wilbur we need to talk.
guitar man: Oh? What did I do this time lmao
pig man: wilbur, this is serious.
guitar man: Okay? Meet you at our usual spot at 10?
pig man: yeah
