Chapter 2: Big Sis

I drove home from practice blasting "Weak" by SWV. I dedicated that song to Ky. I really didn't know her but I liked her. All I knew was that she's fine and her name is Ky.
I pulled up in my driveway still thinking about Ky. I grabbed all my things and got out. I walked through the door being greeted by my little brother Drevon. His huge grin made me warm in side. He's the only reason I stayed in this hell hole. I dropped my things and scooped him up and kissed his little four year old face.

"Mommy, Daddy, Fight." He said as I put him down.

It wasn't anything new. They argued like they hated each other during the day but fucked each others brains out at night. They made me sick. I heard doors slamming and my mom screaming at my dad. I picked up my bags and books and carried them up to my room.

I unlocked my room door and went in. The refreshing smell of cherry blossom filled my nose. I sat everything down and began to undress for my afternoon shower. I pulled my bra over my head and slung it in my dirty clothes basket.

I walked to my bathroom and ran some steamy hot bath water. I poured my lavender bath beads in and dipped my foot in making sure it was hot enough. I grabbed my Bluetooth speaker and played "going crazy" by Natalie.

I soaked in the tub for about 20 minutes before lathering my body with my dove body wash. It smelled so good. I finished cleaning my sweaty body and got out.

I wrapped my body in my towel and carried my speaker and my phone back into my room. I checked my phone and saw that I had two texts. One from Erin and the other from an unknown number.

*Erin: Hey let's go to the movies tonight!
*Me: I can't mom's and pops arguing gotta watch DJ.
*Erin: Okay love. Maybe tomorrow.
...
*unknown: I miss you Drea. Call me please?
*Me: Please leave me alone Harper.
*Unknown: Im sorry Drea. I need you bad man.

I didn't reply to Harper's message. Harper is my ex. We were together for 6 months till I caught her cheating on me with my cousin Nyra. I walked in Harpers room one day and saw Nyra's legs wrapped around Harper's neck screaming Harper's name. I was hurt to my soul. That was a year ago but Im still hurt I loved her a lot.

I rubbed lotion on my body I sang along to "Nothing "by Chris brown. I threw on some black sweat pants and a white ribbed tank top with some nike socks. I grabbed my blanket and my phone and heading down stairs to where Drevon watched spongebob.

"Drea I hungry." he said as I sat next to him on the couch

"Okay buddy. Let's go fix us some grub. " I said picking him up and carrying him to the kitchen.

I put us some pizza rolls in the microwave and fixed us some drinks. We both waited patiently as our food warmed up.

"I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE YA'HYRA! I'M LEAVING I'M SICK OF YOUR BULLSHIT MAN!" I heard my dad say before he walked out the front door with two suitcases.
"Drevin no please don't leave!" My mom cried on her knees.

He didn't come back he left. He left his family all alone. My mother went back upstairs crying her eyes out. Drevons big brown eyes filled with tears. I rubbed his back and kissed his forehead as he laid in my chest.

Our food finally finished and we went back to the living room and watched "Cars". I talked to him telling him everything was gonna be okay. He feel asleep in my arms and I soon dozed off too.
