Chapter 4: Looong Day

  Later that night I was wrapping up in my towel when my phone rang. I didn't even look at the caller id I just answered.

    *Me: Hello?
    *Her: Wussup Gorgeous?
    *Me: Hey Ky Wussup?
    *Her: Nothing just getting home from work. Thought I'd here your voice before I tap out.
    *Me: Oh cool cool. Im just kinda getting out the shower. About to lay down.
    *Her: Oh Yea that's wussup. I had a really good time with you. I kinda miss your beautiful face.
    *Me: Ha i kinda miss your handsome self too.

  We talked for hours until I got sleepy. We hung up and I threw on my pajamas and turned my tv on to BET and fell asleep watching obsessed.

  "Come here gorgeous." Ky said pulling me to her. She smiled showing off her dimple before kissing my lips softly. I kissed back letting her tongue invade my mouth and intertwine with mine. Her strong hands caressed my body as she slid my shirt above my head. Her lips went from mine down to my neck. I moaned as she hit my hot spot. Her hands made their way to my shorts and unzipped them. I laid back on her bed allowing her to undress me. She licked her lips as she got on her knees.....

   "Drea wake up.. " Drevons tiny voice said as he crawled into bed with me. He told me he had a nightmare and i held him super tight.
   "Tell that boogey man ima kick his ass if he keep messing with you." I said wearily.

  He nodded his head and drifted off to sleep. I smiled thinking back to the dream I was having.

We both were awaken to the sounds of glass being broken, cursing, screaming, and fighting. I jumped outta the bed throwing on my robe.

   "Stay here." I told him as I left the room.

  I went downstairs to see my mom pointing a gun at my dad. Her left eye was swollen shut, her lip was bust, and her clothes and hair was ragged. There was blood everywhere.

   "Momma!! What are you doing?" I screamed running by her side.
   "Nothing baby. Ima show this dumb ass. He put his hands on me for the last time! Go back upstairs with Dj. " she said as she adjusted the gun in her hand.
   "No. You can go about this many different ways. But the consequences of you killing him will be horrible. We won't have any parents! Just put the gun down and call the police!! " I said as I ran to get the house phone.
   "If I put it down he gone hit me. I'll keep holding it till you call them. Now sit the fuck down Drevin!! " she said pointing to the sofa.

  As I was on the phone with the police my dad ran out the door with my mom shooting behind him. She missed him by a hair. He quickly sped off.

  When the police arrived they talked to my mom scheduling her a day to get a restraining order. They also called the paramedics to come fix my mom's wounds. Some detectives came up to me asking me what I know about the situation but I didn't know anything.

By the time they left it was 12:35 p.m. I have to be to work at 2 so I went to eat. Drevon and I ate cereal and then went to go get dressed. I had to drop him off at Aunt Yara's house cause our mom isn't in her right state of mind.

  Dressed and ready to go Drevon and I kissed our mom telling her we love her and left.
   "Is daddy gone forever?" He asked looking up at me.
   "I don't think so buddy. But if he is you always got me I won't leave you I promise." I said fixing his shirt before ringing our aunts doorbell.

   "Heeeeyy Drea and Dj! Come on in!" Aunt Yara said as she opened the door.
   "Hey Auntie!" I said hugging her.
   "Hey Aunnie! Where's Brylon?" Drevon asked running through the house.
   "Oh gosh! He ain't even kiss me goodbye!" I said chasing after him.

  I hugged and kissed him goodbye then left. I drove to the bakery where I work and got out. I put my hat on and clocked in. It was Sunday so work was a little slow.

   "Hello may I help you?" I said to the customer with my head down checking off orders.
   "Yes you can. Can I have a two Red velvet cupcakes, 3 chocolate chip cookies, and a glass of you?" The customer said. I blushed as I recognized the voice.
   "You might catch a cavity." I said as I wrote down the order.
   "Oh Yea well we'll see about that. I ain't know you worked here gorgeous. If I did I would've been coming here." Ky said as she leaned over the counter.
   "Well. Now you know. Who are you here with?" I asked.
   "My mom. I brought her here on a date. But forreal we need two glasses of milk with our order. And ill have you to go ". She flirted.
   "Ill see what I can do. Your total is $8.37. Your order will be right up." I said taking Ky's money.

  I gave her the change and her ticket. She smiled at me and went to her seat. The rest of the work day went by pretty good. I got $20 tips from every customer except Ky. She left $100. I smiled as I clocked out to go home. I picked up Drevon on the way home. We got home a little after 8. My mom was gone. I text her and told her I love her. We got ready for bed, ate, then went to sleep for school tomorrow.
