Chapter 24

Ky's POV

  Ly and I made our way to our seats. We had front row reserved seats too! I had to be right in the front anyway my baby gone perform! I'm still tryna figure out what she gone do anyway...

  Our Principle Mr.Palmer came to the mic to get everyone settled down.

   "Good evening everyone! Welcome CGSH's 5th annual talent show. I hope everyone enjoys the show! There are refreshments in the back please help yourself to anything! Now I would like to welcome our first act, Mr. Brian Gregory "

   "Hello my name is Brian Gregory. Tonight I will be doing a magic show." He said pulling out all types of stuff.

  Dude did some weird stuff! He drink milk through his nose and it came out his eyes! It was interesting but nasty! After that he made a rabbit disappear. Ion know how he did it but he did!

  "Thank you Brian." Mr. Palmer said walking back to the stage.

There were three more acts until he finally called Dre'Anna's name. My heart thudded as she came from the back. She looked so beautiful. She had on a dress that's high in the front and low in the back. The top part was floral and the high-low part was a peach color matching the top. On her feet was some nude 6 in. Pumps. God she looked amazing. Ly and I gave her a standing ovation.

  "Good evening everyone my name is Dre'Anna Jackson and I will be singing "If I ain't got you " by Alicia Keys." She said smiling. Soon Erin walked out wearing a long blue dress and some silver pumps. She was gonna play the piano in the back.

  My eyes grew wide. I never heard Dre'Anna sing. I hope she ain't about to embarrass herself. As soon as she started singing my heart sank and my thoughts changed.

   " Some people live for the fortune, Some people live just for the fame, Some people live for the power, yeah Some people live just to play the game.... Some people think that the physical things, Define what's within, And I've been there before, But that life's a bore, So full of the superficial, Some people want it all But I don't want nothing at all

  Her voice was so beautiful. I melted as she sung the song staring directly at me. I smiled at her and mouthed 'I love you' to her. She had my heart beating a 100 MPH. As she got deeper into the song her singing got stronger and she was feeling it. Erin was playing the hell outta that piano as my baby sung to it. I looked over at Ly who's eyes were glued to Erin playing that piano. She was surprised too.

   " If I ain't got you with me baby
So nothing in this whole wide world don't mean a thing
If I ain't got you with me baby....." As Dre'Anna got done singing she mouthed the words I love you too to me and walked off stage.

  Six more people performed but none topped my baby and Erin's performance! Some people rapped, danced, and did other junk but none caught my eye like Dre's voice did.

  Mr. Palmer came to the stage to announce third, second, and first place. And of course my baby and Erin won first place! They both got a huge trophy, a sash, and a $100 gift card to forever 21 where I work. How funny! They thanked everyone and walked off stage making their way over to us. Little did they know we went and got gifts while they were backstage. Plus I picked up the gift I was gonna give her on Christmas but ima give it to her today.

When they saw us they ran to us and squeezed us tight.

  "Omg baby you did amazing!!!!! I ain't know you can sing!? Where that came from?? Oh and you did too Scooby doo! Who knew a dog could play the piano?" I said to Dre and Erin. Erin and Ly were too tongue tied to even reply.

  "I got something for you baby! Close your eyes." I said to Dre as she obeyed.

  I pulled out a rectangular silver box and handed it to her. Right along with some Red roses. Her face lit up and she kissed me passionately. I pulled away from her grasp and made her open the box. She screamed so loud people stared at us. Inside the box was a necklace that said: 06.24.2014. I pulled the necklace outta my shirt and showed her I had the same exact one. She kissed me again then we went home.

  At home we talked about the talent show ate, took a shower then went to sleep saying I love you a million times. I really do love Dre'Anna. With all my heart. This month will make 6 months that we've been together. I must admit im extremely happy!
