Lan Zhan, the perfect disciple of the Lan clan lay awake in his bed unable to move or speak for there was an uneasy feeling in his lungs. He reluctantly got up to patrol the Recesses for...  someone. "Wei... Ying" he whispered.

There was no certainty that the person he was looking for would be there but there was a chance that they would cross paths. Lan Zhan put on his outer robes. Just thinking about Wei Ying a small smile appeared on Lan Zhan's face.

He then remembered the Lans he punished that morning. His mouth fell into its usual form and his eyebrows scrunched together showing visible confusion. 'How did they know I had the hanahaki disease', he thought 'I told no one.' 'Did brother find out?' 'No he wouldn't have said anything'

Remembering what he got dressed for he brushed the thought out his head and swiftly left, for it was nearing 9:00. Before he was even two minutes out of his room his ears heated up. There he was, Wei Wuxian sitting on a roof, with two bottles of Emperor's Smile on his lap. Checking the time  (A/N don't ask how) he made a count down in his mind and as soon as it was 9:00, he jumped onto the roof. "It is past the time all disciples should be in their chambers, asleep," Lan Zhan said as coldly as possible.

The reaction he got from Wei Ying was surprising-- in a way, but not unexpected. Wei Ying smiled widely "Ah, Lan Zhan I was waiting for you! "A smug look appeared his face. The uneasy feeling was back and he knew exactly what it was. He was about to take Bichen out and have a peaceful battle in the quiet night (A/N which was honestly the only thing he wanted to do) when Wei Ying said, "So, I heard you were sick or something."

Their eyes locked and with each passing second the feeling in his chest grew until it was not only uncomfortable but painful. He felt like there were butterflies in his stomach but struggling to fly upwards, like they needed to come out. The butterflies went away and he was left with only pain. Though it was no longer in his stomach but in his throat .

He tried collecting himself enough to get to his chambers when suddenly  he lost consciousness.

A/N Yay I got through the second chapter :D what do you think will happen next? This was still pretty short in comparison to other chapters but still longer than the the first chapter. I'll make it up to you I promise :)
