Sorry... I had literally no ideas. And this took forever because both Soph and I had school and things got crazy, but it'll be me, Zarah, writing the next few chapters. (Since I'm on break)
"I'm taking you to my house..." Lan Zhan said it with no hesitation whatsoever. What is he bringing Lan Ying into his house for?
Lan Ying's POV:
After a while, I just got tired of asking him why he was taking me to his 'Jingshi'. After what seemed like forever, we arrived.
He put me down slowly and gently at the entrance and walked to the door. I made sure to follow close behind him. When he opened it, his house was, as expected, very... neat. He pointed at a low table, and told me not to move, so I sat next to it. When I looked back up, he disappeared.
"W-what? Where did you go Lan Zhan?" No response. 'W-where did he go?!'
"LAN ZHAAAN!" I don't know why, but I started to cry. I miss him already... I know he's probably still in the house but I don't know where. Actually I'm not even sure if he is. (It's always been that it takes very short time for Lan Ying to start missing his husband.)
Trying to be obedient, I did not move. After a few minutes of sitting down waiting, I stood up, tired and ready to leave. Just as I was walking to the door, it opened. The person who entered was...
"LAN ZHAN!" I screamed without even realizing it. He looked at me clearly surprised at the sudden outburst, then silently and swiftly put something on the table I was sitting at. It was a small, though grand, light weight box in front of me. Maybe I was acting a bit out of line just now. I sat looking at it, pondering and scrutinizing it for a few minutes.
"...A-Ying?" Lan Zhan said sounding slightly worried. I looked at him surprised, as he never once called 'A-Ying', then grinned at him.
"Wow! Lan Zhan- noo, no, A-Zhan I mean." I started laughing and when he turned away and I saw his red ear.
"Open it. It is a present for Lan Ying." Lan Zhan half-whispered.
I opened the box he placed in front of me slowly. Inside of it was a new.... ribbon. I picked it up and inspected it more carefully and realized it was a Lan clan forehead ribbon! I was not expecting for Lan Zhan to give me this. I looked up at him and motioned for him to sit next to me. He did and was staring long and hard at my face.
"Lan Zhan... why are you giving me this?" I asked.
"Lan Ying is part of the Lan family now. The rule is on the wall. As well as in the book that you copied the rules in so many times..." He said with a very serious tone in his voice. I smiled at him.
"Lan Zhan, I will not wear it that often, but when I remember it I will." I said while trying to tie it.
Lan Zhan, noticing I was having trouble, came to help me. It was a little embarrassing not being able to tie it myself... And his warm breath on my neck... 'I wanna kiss him now' I though randomly. But at that moment, as if reading my mind, Lan Zhan turned to face me, made eye contact, and kissed me.
I myself still don't know how much time passed, nor could I really tell you what happened after that, but next thing I knew we were in his bed.
