Lan Zhan's POV:

I woke up in my bed at 5 with Lan Ying hugging me. Still sleeping of course. Not daring to wake him, I slowly, carefully and quietly got out of bed. As I stood up I felt something grab my hand. It was A-Ying.

"Lan Zhaaan! Please don't go!" He groaned.
"A-Ying, I must go now. I have class with uncle."
He only mumbled a "Whatever" and rolled over.

I chuckled to myself and got ready for class. Then I ran a bath for Lan Ying for later. I stepped outside, ready. I walked for a while, and then spotted my brother. I was about to walk up to him when I noticed Jiang Wanyin was there. I wondered what they were talking about. After about a minute, Jiang Wanying noticed me and whispered something in brother's ear.

"A-Zhan!" He turned and beamed at me.

"Good morning, brother." I replied simply.

"Oh, and how is your marriage going?" My ear reddened at this.

"I-It's fine... What about y-your relationship?" I slightly stuttered.

"With who?" Jiang Wanyin asked, looking a little upset.

"With you, right?" I asked confused.

Before anyone could say anything further I saw a shadow approach. It was uncle, looking upset and calling us in for class. I tried my best to pay attention, but the whole time I was thinking about A-Ying. I won't be able to see him until the end of the day....

Lan Ying's POV:

I woke up at probably 10. 'Lan Zhan must've gone to class today.' I thought. I went to run a bath when I realized he already did it for me. After showering I thought back to the ribbon I got the night before. What does it even mean? I was then that I decided I would dedicate that day to finding it out. "What does the Lan Clan's forehead ribbon mean?"

I started in the Jingshi's library and searched for something on the Lan's ribbon. After about two hours of searching through the rules I found it:

"The Lan headband is not to be touched, nor removed by anyone other that one's significant other."

I then thought of all the times, even before our marriage, that I broke that rule. I never once cared about the rules but this.... Suddenly, my face grew hot at the thought that even since then... Even si- Then my train of thought was interrupted by a loud voice.

"WEI WUXIAN!"

Oh boy...
