Chapter 18 - The unexpected

It's been a few days since the meeting with Horikita and today we'll depart and travel with a luxurious ship. The ship was way bigger than the one we had for the island exam. Due to the first years also participating it made sense that they would have a bigger ship this time.

Before we could go to the ship, the Acting Director Tsukishiro called us to the gymnasium and apparently he had an important information for us. So I made my way to the gymnasium and there I grouped up with Kanzaki and Shibata.

Kanzaki: "Ayanokoji do you perhaps know something about the information the Acting Director will give us?"

Ayanokoji: "Beats me."

Not long after the brief conversation with Kanzaki, all students gathered in the gymnasium and Tsukishiro stood on the stage with the microphone in hand. Before he said anything, he quickly glared at me but averted his eyes immediately after.

Tsukishiro: "Hello students of the ANHS High School as you may know I have been a replacement for Chairman Sakayanagi and unfortunately I'll have to retire, so I won't be able to come to the special exam from the first and second years. A replacement from Chairman Sakayanagi will jump in for me and monitor the exam but he will only monitor the first four days of the exam and as a result I asked the student council and third years to view over the exam on the fifth day. After the fifth day Chairman Sakayanagi himself will view over the exam. I hope you enjoy the special exam and thank you for the time here."

All students applauded but no one really knew what to say since Tsukishiro hasn't interacted much with anyone beside Nagumo, the wihite room enrollers, Sakayanagi and me. But I can say that not many are going to miss him.

That last line was a blatant lie. He never enjoyed being here in this school. The only reason he was here was due to 'that man'. Putting that matter aside for now, it was shocking to hear that Chairman Sakayanagi freed himself from the house arrest and at the same time it was relieving.

A huge obstacle had been dealt with but due to my father I can't definitely say that something like that won't happen again in the future. But I can at least put that thought away for this exam.

Hoshinomiya assembled the class together and we made our way to the ship. The ship really was huge, it was no exaggeration to say that this would be a once in a lifetime experience for someone who has an average incoming. There in total three pools, fours bars and a lot more. Of course our rooms were also very luxurious.

Shibata: "Woah dude can you believe it?"

Amikura: "This is a dream."

They all had sparkling eyes and couldn't wait to use the pool and other stuff. I was also a little excited but the information that Tsukishiro gave us was also troublesome for me. And that is owning to Nagumo. He'll definitely interfere I'm sure of it but I guess I should enjoy the time here since there will at least be a hard five days in front of me.

I determined that it was a good opportunity to hang out with the Ayanokoji Group again since I haven't seen them due to transferring to Class B. And to my luck they all instantly agreed to hang out. So I made my way to meet them. I guess they must be pretty down after Airi's expulsion, I'll definitely do something about that later.

Akito: "Kiyotaka good to see you again."

Haruka: "Yes Kiyopon we've missed you!"

Keisei agreed with them and I was honestly fortunate to have such good friends and I honestly didn't think I'll ever have such friends. And even though Haruka was in high spirits I could feel that she tried to hide her emotions of sadness and anger she had from the expulsion of Airi. She probably suppressed it for the sake of avoiding expulsion in this special exam.
