She glances over at her boyfriend, who has fallen asleep sitting up halfway through the movie. Her heart aches; she can only imagine how exhausted he must be.
She tentatively reaches over, her hand moving on its own as she feels physically drawn to Jungkook; her fingers graze his cheek and he shivers in his sleep, causing her to retract her hand.
She immediately feels guilt; she has no right to caress him like that anymore. She's hurt him too badly to be allowed such a luxury as touching his perfect skin.
She curls up beside him on the couch, the movie going unwatched as she decides to watch him instead.
She watches the way his chest rises and falls rhythmically, and she sees the dark circles underneath his eyes, standing out in contrast to his pale, porcelain-like skin.
"You are so beautiful," she whispers. "I know you'll never forgive me, but I will still tell you how sorry I am every day."
He turns in his sleep, his body gravitating towards her voice, and she smiles softly as his face now rests inches from hers, his breath fanning her face as his hand is nearly touching her leg.
"I hope you can forgive me, baby... I can't stand seeing you so sad."
