Jungkook manages a small smile as he walks into Jimin's apartment.
"Thank you for letting me stay here until I can find a new place," Jungkook says, pulling his suitcase in behind him as Jimin closes the door.
"Of course," Jimin says. "I understand why you couldn't stay there."
"Yeah, too many memories," he sighs. "You know I couldn't get myself to sleep in my own bed. It felt so empty without her. I made myself sleep in it last night; it was kind of like my goodbye to her, I guess."
"I get that," Jimin says, nodding in sympathy as he takes Jungkook's suitcase and moves it into the spare bedroom before coming back and sitting next to Jungkook on the couch.
"One night, I even watched a movie that I hate just because I knew how much she loved it," he says, shaking his head as tears form in his eyes. "But the craziest thing? I swear I could feel her there with me. One night, I swore I could feel her fingertips on my cheek. Another time, I thought I felt her breath tickle my ear, like she had whispered something. I even talked to her sometimes... just in case she could hear me. Is that crazy?"
"Of course not, Jungkook. I can't imagine the pain you're going through right now," Jimin says, tears in his own eyes as he sees his best friend slowly break down in front of him.
