Chapter 22

CATALIA'S POV:
Everyone was quite neither making a move nor a sound when the rivals managed to get past the north side securities. Everyone was hidden when they arrived here at the open square. They all had their guns out and ready to fire but was shocked to see no one there.

"Boss! There's no one here!" One of the rivals said.

"WHAT?!" A man shouted and walked to the front, I'm guessing that he is the one leading all of them based on his reaction and what his man just called him. "ROGER?! YOU SAID THAT THEY WERE HERE?!" He said through his earpiece.

All of us were quite and watching their every move.

"AND WHAT DO YOU THINK OF ME?! BLIND?! THERE'S NOT A SINGLE LIFE FROM IN THIS OPEN SQUARE IDIOT!!!" He shouted at his earpiece. "EVERYONE SEARCH THE GROUNDS!!! THEY MUST STILL BE HERE!!!" He ordered his men. His men nodded and started to look around the open square.

I touched my earpiece to speak. "Everyone get ready, they have just started to search the open square, on my command we'll attack." I said quietly. They all responded a chorus of approval. "Snipers? What's the news up there?" I asked them.

"Aquinas here, the rivals are guarding the outside of the Academy to avoid outsiders from coming in. They knocked down some of the security and some... They also killed." He said quietly. All of us stayed quiet but we were all burning with anger.

"Snipers, No one is to fire unless I say so, or you see fit to do so. I want you guys to also keep your eyes out for the backups, ok?" I said to them and they mumbled an approval. I disconnected from the line and went back to watching the rivals.

2 rivals with high caliber guns went under the tree that me and Reka are hiding at and inspecting the surroundings. Me and Reka looked at each other and nodded. When they were standing exactly below us, we jumped of the tree and landed on their shoulders. We got them by surprise so they didn't have enough time to react when we knocked them out by pounding the butt of our guns at their napes.

They went unconscious instantly and their bodies landed on the ground with a quite thump as me and Reka got off their shoulders and watched them. We didn't need to crouch down as the trees are keeping us from being seen by the rivals. We took their guns and strapped it on out thigh holster. I looked at the gun and saw that it had the Rossi Family Crest engraved on it, so does that mean they are one of the people that stole from our warehouses and alliances.

I touched my earpiece to inform Blake. "Blake, Lia here, I just got something very unexpected." I said.

"Blake here, what is it Lia?" He asked.

"I think rivals that are here we're part of the people that stole our weaponry from our warehouses and alliances. Me and Reka just knocked two out and took their guns, when I studied the guns it had our family crest engraved on it. And the type of guns that they have are similar to what we make." I said coldly.

I heard my brothers make angry notices from the earpiece. " So it's not impossible that they are part of our rival mafias as not just anyone can purchase or get any of our weaponry from just anyone." Someone said that sounded like Blaze. I disconnected the convo as we saw a group of rivals coming our way.

"Snipers wait until our backups arrive before you do any move, communicate with Blake or Blaze for the next move. And everyone else, on our gunshot we'll start attacking."  I said. I heard a chorus of quite approval then I disconnected from the earpiece.

I looked at Reka with the look of asking her if she's ready, she nodded before we hid ourselves in the shadows. I took out one of my daggers and held it in my hand as we waited for the right moment to strike. They were all very cocky and full of themselves but what disgusted me the most was what they said. I tapped my earpiece so that everyone can hear what they are about to say.
