Kody didn't know what he was going to do. It was the beginning of summer and Kass was having a pool party at her house. There were a lot of boys over and it irked him how much attention they were paying to her. Especially while she was wearing that skimpy black bikini.
Not that he could do anything about it. He was still three years older than her and with him 19, it was illegal for him to be with her. Instead, all he could do was watch from his balcony.
As if she could feel her eyes on him, she looked over and caught him staring. She grinned and waved her fingers at him, then spun on her heel and marched out of view. He groaned. He knew she was up to something.
A few minutes later, she came back with a lanky boy in tow, leading him by the hand. She sat him down in a chair and sat in his lap. He whispered something in her ear causing her to giggle.
Kody gritted his teeth when the boy trailed his fingers down her back, resting his hand against her hip. Kody was going to pummel him into the ground. Kass turned around to straddle him and they began making out. Kody never wanted to jump over the railing so bad. But he couldn't. And he cursed himself.

Things at work were going really well for Kass. She was slowly building up her clientele and was working on several spaces already. Some smaller jobs, like offices or single rooms were already completed with the clients thrilled.
True to her word, Melinda did send a gift. It was a 32 year old man named Frederick. He was sent to take the position of her manager, overseeing jobs she was too busy to look at. Of course, she vetted him in case he was sent as a spy. She couldn't afford to be careless.
Freddy fit in with the team perfectly, which she assumed was why Melinda sent him. He even knew all her preferences and quirks.
Clara was excelling at her job as well. She went above and beyond anything asked of her and to celebrate the first month of business, Kass gave her a bonus. Kass even did something for herself. Well, she was about to.
She stepped out of the car, looking at the cute 2 bedroom townhouse before her. It was located in a fairly quiet neighbourhood. Two floors. Washer, dryer, dishwasher and even a fireplace on the living room. She wasn't ready to buy, but the owner agreed to rent it out to her after speaking to the realtor.
Since Rip was constantly away on business, she had to find someone else to show her places. This guy was good though. He listened to everything she asked for. The only downside of this place was the open backyard. She had a little patio, but there was a small step leading into an large field that led to a street on either side.
Sighing, she walked into the house where the realtor was waiting for her. She didn't tell anyone about this place, preferring to keep it as an escape from her life. The realtor smiled when he saw her.
"Hi Kass!" He shook her hand.
"Hey Edwin." She greeted back.
"So, the furniture in here will all be removed before you move in and the place will be deep cleaned as well. The owner can't do anything regarding the backyard but he did say you can add a board to the fence to block people from entering the space providing you take it back down once you move out. He agreed to month to month. Um, oh yeah you can also move in right away once everything is cleared and he won't charge you for moving in early. There is the standard pet fee and security deposit. The garage only fits one vehicle but the driveway I'm sure you noticed has space for two." Edwin paused. "Was there anything else?"
Kass shook her head. He already addressed all her concerns. She filled out all the necessary paperwork and handed it back to him.
"Okay, you can pay rent any of 3 ways: e-transfer, cheque, or through the company you can drop in and state where you're from, providing ID and they will take your rent there with debit or credit."
