peter parker. the man who'd saved your life and you'd fallen in love with, the man you wanted to be held by until the end of the earth. the one you wanted to be with when everything was crashing and burning around you.

the thought of going into your apartment and never speaking to him hurt too much. you needed him.

you turned set off towards where you'd assumed he'd gone. for someone you held so close to your heart, you really didn't know that much about peter.

he'd always been so secretive about his life, yet still felt so open, like a book with all the important pages ripped out.

wrapping your coat tighter around your body, you quickened you pace.

this was a really stupid idea. wandering the streets of new york city with nothing to protect yourself with.

none of the risks of what you were doing were even a thought in your head, peter was the only thing keeping you going.

after walking for 20 minutes and no sign of peter. you were back at the bench you'd first met him at.

the whole situation felt very ironic. especially the part where you were wearing the same outfit as the day you met him, with a coat this time.

with a huff of frustration you sat down. it was a stupid idea anyways. peter could be anywhere in the city. you hadn't even realised you were crying.

crying over a stupid man get again.

"hey. are you ok?"

"yeah."

you looked up.

peter. peter parker.

he was sitting on your bed, the white sheets crumpled around him. you were next to him. the space between you felt like miles.

your apartment was dead silent other than the sound of your breathing.

"so." you mumbled, gripping your sheets so hard you knuckles were white.

"yeah."

the tension was so thick it could have been cut with a knife. you were scared to say something to upset him. it was like peter was a scared animal and you had to try your best not to make him run off.

"i'm sorry." you stared at him.

"it's ok, i was the one who left in the first place." his big brown doe eyes were staring into yours. it was getting harder and harder to maintain the eye contact.

"i shouldn't have reacted the way i did." you placed your hands on your knees. peter stayed silent. he was frowning, his hands nervously fidgeting with the hem of his shirt.

"it just hurt a lot when you left, then i finally somewhat get over you and you come back." you continued.

"it hurt you?" he inched closer to you, his big hand so close to your leg.

you glared at him.

"are you fucking kidding me? you spend all fucking day with me, cuddling with me and being all lovey dovey. then you take me to meet your fucking family, then don't talk to me for months." he frowned.

You've reached the end of published parts.
