I smile at him but he looks away so I get up and sit beside him.

"Hey!" I say awkwardly, he doesn't reply, he doesn't even look at me.

"Uh well I'm pretty sure you don't remember me but I'm Azalea Brown, we were best friends since two and I-" I couldn't complete because he gets up and walks away. Ouch

I bite my lips to control my emotions and then I walk to him again.

"Well its rude to walk away from someone especially when they are talking to you, anyways so its okay if you dont remember me but we could still be great friends you know we-" I couldn't complete again. Because he cheers for one of his friend who just scored a three- pointer.

"So you weren't even listening" I say lowly and get up walking away.

I go and sit in the cafeteria and start reading a book and then I see Madison sitting alone with her laptop so I join her.

"Can I sit?" I ask pointing at the chair.

"Ofcourse Az" she says and I sit.

"So how have you been?" I ask

"Good I guess, it was difficult when my Dad passed away but we learnt to live without him soon, so its okay now" she says sadly.

"I'm sorry I couldn't come to see you, It was all just so-" I say but she cuts me off by holding my hands.

"Az, I understand, it's okay, don't worry please" she says give me an assuring smile.

"Are you all still best friends?" I ask gulping nervously.

"Everything changed after you went Az, legit everything, Elliott was a mess, he didn't talk with anyone, he didn't eat for many days, he used to just lock himself in his room and used to never come out, I tried going and talking to him but he ofcourse didn't listen to me, he distanced himself from me, Aubrey and Nicholas too. Aubrey, she is a total bitch now, she never liked you from the very start and you know that, she was always jealous of you, and then when she heard that you left, she tried her best to be with Elliott the whole time, she wanted him, weird how just a 13 year old could actually do and think that right? We aren't friends at all, and Nicholas, well he helped Elliott to forget about you like not in a bad way! You know what I mean right?"

"Yeah Mads I get it,I know Nicholas wouldn't do that" I say smiling.

"Yeah, me and Nicholas kind of um hooked up many times last year"

"What?! Oh my God!"

"Shh no one knows that except you now, and I kind of like him, I'm not sure if he feels the same" she says nervously and I smile proudly.

"Dont worry I will figure a way out" I say smirking.

"How?"

"Leave that to me will you?" she nods

"So tell me how was your first day?" She asks.

"Uh it was okayish, my math went bad 'cause I didn't understand a single thing, and then I tried talking to Elli but he ignored me" I say

"God he is a jerk, I will talk to him for you if you want" she says

"No no don't I will try a way to fix this by myself"

"Okay, so there's this party today that one of my friend is throwing so we should go!" She says and I nod.

"Yeah, come over at mine at 6:30? We could get ready together" I say and she nods smiling widely.
