KATE'S POV

Making peace with myself in the moment of being stilled mid-air, I let out a breath.

My last breath... or so I thought.

The sound of rough tides below me suddenly enhanced my senses, the cool breeze, the feeling of gravity pulling you down as you see the faces of the ones you care about for the last time.

Tears blurred my vision just as I see my mate lock eyes with me; pain flickered in those beautiful orbs I'd come so fond of yet I knew the price of happiness, somethings just have to be sacrificed for.

In this case my life...

Although a million thoughts flooded my mind I am brought back to the real world once I feel a powerful nudge behind me. Due to the impact I make it to the cliff; hanging off by digging my claws into the earth, grasping onto the blades of grass.

Dangling upon the ledge with my stomach in my mouth I look down upon hearing the cry of a wolf...the cry of a hybrid.

Feeling myself being lifted towards the land I lock eyes with the familiar hybrid, one that I had become close to and most definitely it was him; Scar.

The darkness of the night lures yet I never lose eye contact and watch as he crashes into the tides that stir him in it's current. At this point Scar is nowhere to be seen as the water submerges him in and shows no mercy as it takes him away.

Away from his pack, his family and his freedom.

I transform back to human form as a cloak is draped across my shoulders shielding my body.

"Scar!" A whimper leaves my lips as I fall unto my knees and I felt numb, I felt the sadness from the 7 hybrids who gathered around me who now begin to howl into the night; a call for the one who saved the Luna, a brother, a pack member and a saviour...

Just as this was a tragic moment, the story wasn't finished just yet.

"I'm sorry for pretending to open the barrier, in fact it's now broken thanks to me" Natalie cackles under her breath. In this moment of her confession, Kane has her held down by his pack members and he's ready to rip her throat.

"I almost lost her because of YOU!"

"She's right, I cannot feel the barrier anymore and if that is, then he is on his way here" Josephine interjects.

"I know what he wants" I try to speak confidently as I explain to them quickly what his plans were, only thing now is we need a solution.

"He wants to control the Warriors?" I simply nod and while everyone stands dumbfounded Xavious kneels down to the hybrids, his eyes a magnificent red that becomes luminous in the darkness of the night.

While the hybrids move around eagerly I look confused as each one of them circles around me and begins growling pointing their heads towards the sky as if to direct it to the moon which was not present.

"It's you Kate. You're the Luna of all Lunas" Xavious states.

"Which means you have the power bestowed upon you from the Moon Goddess, it's within you Luna...You're our moon"

"All we have to do is channel your magic and transform the warriors back to their human forms, there's always a loophole. In order for the warlock to take control the warriors still need to be in their hybrid form"

"Stop, this is coming to an end!" A rather loud voice echoes through the dark forest as we hear the warlock near the cliff his hands already in the air as incantations begin to spill from him.

I place myself in front of Josephine and as we lock arms the wind blows furiously raising the autumn leaves around us in a whirlwind. I could feel myself being drained.

Words of spells and the screaming of the Alphas getting their men prepared lingered in the atmosphere as I struggle to keep my heavy eyelids open. Again, as time freezes I begin to search for the only one I've been longing for; Xavious.

"Keep focus, you can do this Kate! Do it with me" As the last words leaves his lips, his wolf awakes and so does Ava...

XAVIOUS' POV

My wolf and I become ecstatic once Kate pulls through again, her eyes the most beautiful I've ever seen now into a purple shade glimmering brightly. Gorgeous.

My attention of admiring my strong and brave mate gets occupied by the yelling of Alpha Kane.

"Not yet!" I growl loud enough for him to stop his actions of taking Natalie's life.

"Help Josephine or else I will leave you for the hybrids who will be after you for eternity after this night; that is if you manage to escape. Once they find you, know that you will wish upon death as they tear you apart from limb to limb! I suggest you choose the right side now or face the consequences of your actions."

The snarling of the hybrids become vicious as they ready themselves to attack her right this second while Natalie trembles in fear as her eyes dart from the hybrids to the Warlock.

"He only wants it all for himself. Don't lose sight of the bigger picture."

Natalie nods her head and heads straight to Josephine and Kate. Moments pass by and is gone just as a loud thunder makes itself known.

"NOW!" Josephine yells atop her lungs as both she and Natalie direct the light of the moon that embraced around Kate towards the seven Warriors.

"NOOOOO!!!" The warlock rages on the other side and just as the hybrids begin to transform in a moment of distraction my eyes fall upon the warlock and his next target.

Jumping in front of my vulnerable mate I shield her from the warlocks powers but looks like we had another hero. Natalie yells in agony as she is lifted into the air and begins to burn in flames. She actually sacrificed herself for Kate...

While shock overwhelmed everyone's senses Josephine directs her attention to the warlock and with a few words of pure magic which leaves the warlock wide eyed has the barrier up again in a jiffy. Rapidly everything inside the barrier begins to go down in blazing flames.

Along with the warlock.

"Counter spell, works all the time" Josephine's smile lasts for a few seconds until a gasp escapes her lips and we all follow her gaze and staring back at us were... 7 naked men.
