KATE'S POV

Neil holds my waist and a wave of nausea hits me like a truck. I pull back but he pulls me closer to him and dips his head sloppily kissing my neck. I felt a shudder and wanted to pull back but was well-aware I would lose balance if I let go of him.

I felt as though the neon lights weren't bright lines anymore but waves of a rainbow. I was pulled back by the shouting of my name from someone familiar. I open my eyes and see Ana blocked by a huge guy in leather.

Joe and Christopher were nowhere to be seen and Neil was already plunging his tongue down a woman wearing a silver, glittered dress and palms her ass.

I raise a brow at them unimpressed and focus on Ana instead. The guy was twice my size but I tapped on his shoulder otherwise looking bored. He turns around and I am met with blue eyes that of the wild ocean. I curse the drink for making almost every guy in here attractive to me in some way.

"You want to join us too, baby girl?" I laugh bitterly and shudder in disgust at his nickname for me.

"Too bad you're barking up the wrong tree." With that I give him a hard blow earning a groan from the human.

"She's married you asshole!" I say as Ana slips out of the booth we were in and pulls out her key. About time we take our leave.

As I spun on my heels I felt myself being pushed onto the bartending table. I turn only to see anger flowing off this being as he gives me an uppercut to my jaw and I spin back due to the impact. I grab the bottle of whiskey and swing my arms crashing it on his head. His hair was wet as he charged for me again though I ran with the little wolf speed I had in me past him and into the cold air outside.

Ana swerved the car roughly and honked once as I take a seat and feel numb all over. My face felt distorted and my fingers were sticky. I look down and hear Ana gasp. There was dark fluid by my right arm as I pull the jacket to see it ripped. Not only was the jacket ripped but so was my arm carrying a fresh wound.

Pulling off the jacket I rap the sleeve of it around my arm to stop the bleeding momentarily. Must've been from the glass shard that I broke onto the asshole's head.

We reach home and Ana asks if I needed anything but I shake my head in response. Better still, she hands me a rolled up bandage and something for the pain. Heading towards one of the spare cabin houses Kane and Ana had set up for new pack members or rogues that joined our pack. It was small yet cosy-like as I enter the living room that was intertwined with the kitchen to my right.

I look down surprised that my white dress managed to stay clean. My arm was now slowly starting to flow with fresh blood again.

"Where were you?" I hear a deep faint voice as I adjust my dress awkwardly as he comes from the doorway parallel to me with a blank face.

I sigh and take a seat by the couch not wanting to talk only to hear his footsteps coming closer. I silently dab at my arm and bite my lower lip holding in the pain. Xavious kneels down beside me and asks me with a strong voice, demanding answers.

"Who did this to you?"

"I was at a club and could you please... help me" I say lowering my tone as he nods his head and sits to my right. Silently he cleans my wound and then casts the bandage around my arm finally tying a knot.

"Thanks" I mumble and get up to stand when I get pulled down by my left hand. I was on Xavious' lap sitting side ways- half turned while my arms hooked around his neck and my legs on his left side.

"What's the name of the club?" Xavious asks looking into my eyes.

"What will you do if I tell you?" I ask while cocking my head to the side and tracing his set jaw somehow wanting to make him relax.

"Find the person who hurt you and possibly drugged you." He says while looking at my features intently.

"I'm not drunk- I just said thank you...hazel eyes" I say earning a small hiccup from me. I notice his features soften a bit but then he narrows his eyes at me again.

"I'll tell you in the morning. Can we go to sleep now?" I ask as he picks me up effortlessly and takes us to the bedroom. He puts me down and slides off his white dress shirt. (OUTFIT ABOVE).

"Oooo, I like you shirtless-" I say as I hiccup once more. I wanted to face palm myself on hearing me saying that though I stood there gazing at him.

"Why didn't you say so, I would've done so more often." He says while giving me a smirk. I smile innocently and pull off my dress holding his dress shirt to my bare chest.

"Turn around, Xavious" I say as he turns for a moment and another hiccup fills the silence between us. I yank down the shirt only to find him looking at me with piercing eyes.

Those beautiful bright green orbs brought to light, illuminating his features making him look so perfect.

Yet I couldn't help but wonder...a piece was missing from this puzzle in front of me.
