~THIRTY FOUR~

KATES POV

A full blown smile graces my lips as I eat breakfast with my pack members. Since last night turned wild for everyone, guess who found their mate!

"Joe's looking pretty comfortable there," I whisper to Hannah who sat beside me whereas Joe sat on Demetrius' lap a few seats over gushing to one another.

"I guess her wishes did come true" she replies chuckling while leaning over to grab some salt and pepper.

She's fallen for him alright and I couldn't be any happier for her.

"Excited she is! Isn't it Kateyyy Kat" Joe shoves her head in between us wiggling her brows at me, while hinting at Hannah to which she gives a wink standing up to leave.

Arriving just past noon I dump my belongings at Xavious' place and make my way through the forest by the sound of rippling water; the private waterfall I wanted to go to since the first day.

It was indeed spectacular, the trees all like guards securing the hidden gem; the waterfall. Beautiful shades of greens and blues, earthy colours were my favourite!

Nature has outdone itself yet again.

The snap of twigs has my attention as I swivel in the water only to hear a huge splash. I smile as I begin to waddle away but strong arms envelop my waist pulling me back.

I turn around chuckling as Xavious tickles my sides as he re-surfaces pulling me closer to him.

"Missed you..." His kisses have me biting my lip as his hands roams every inch of my body leaving a trail of sparks. My hands hold on to his broad shoulders as my legs lock around his waist.

Placing my hands on his jaws, he kisses me first...smiling while I pull away.

"Missed you, too" I kiss him first this time as my hands tug his hair hearing him groan into the kiss. With his hands on my ass he slowly makes it rest on my sex having me wanting more.

I look him in the eyes, witnessing mischief dancing in them as he suddenly pushes his digits inside my already wet pussy. I moan as he slides them in easily and now faster.

XAVIOUS' POV

"For draining me the first time we met!" She yells as she swims out of the water and gathers her clothes. By then I join her as she begins to walk ahead of me and although I enjoyed watching her backside I catch up to her and carry her bridal style.

She squeals and swats at my chest demanding to be let down but I ignore her and give her a charming smile.

"I just had to see if you had any Vervain in your system, that way if there was it would've been taken out and therefore I could compel anything from you"

"and you're the first and the last, because you're my mate it doesn't have an effect on you" Reaching the house I let out an exasperated sigh.

"No, its just that-" as I trail off my sentence I am compelled by my mate to look into her beautiful blue-green eyes as she rakes her fingers through my hair, comforting me.

"I have to show you something." She raise her brows and nods her head giving me a reassuring smile as I take her to my office. Only to show her the most important piece of information; one that holds the key to the end of my existence and now a threat to the warriors as well.
