In history class, Elena and Stefan looked at each other while their teacher lectures. Marley looked at them, rolling with her eyes. "Originally discovered nearly 5 centuries ago, it hasn't been over Mystic Falls in over 145 years. Now, the comet will be its brightest right after dusk during tomorrow's celebration. Are we bothering you, Mr. Salvatore? Ms. Gilbert?" Tanner asked them as Elena and Stefan dropped their gazes. The bell rings.

"Well, I was talking to Grams, and she said the comet is a sign of impending doom. The last time it passed over Mystic Falls, there was lots of death. So much blood and carnage, it created a bed of paranormal activity." Bonnie told them as they were sitting outside of Mystic Grill.

"Cool." Marley stated.

"Yeah, and then you poured Grams another shot and she told you about the aliens." Caroline told her as then she looked at Elena. "So then what..."

Elena sighed. "So then nothing."

"You and Stefan talked all night? There was no sloppy first kiss or touchy feely of any kind?" Caroline asked her.

Elena shook with her head. "Nope. We didn't go there."

"Doesn't surprise me." Marley muttered as she took a sip from her drink.

"Not even a handshake?" Caroline looked at in disbelieve. "I mean, Elena, we are your friends. Ok? You are supposed to share the smut."

"We just talked for hours." Elena replied to her.

Caroline was basically jumping. "OK, what is with the blockage? Just jump his bones already! Ok, it's easy. Boy likes girl, girl likes boy, sex!"

"Ew." Marley exclaimed. "That's just rude."

"Profound." Elena stood up.

Bonnie looked at her. "Where are you going?"

"Caroline's right. It is easy." Elena replied to her as Marley snored. "If I sit here long enough, I'll end up talking myself out of it instead of doing what I started the day saying what I was going to do."

Later, it was the evening or night as you can call it. Elena, Marley and Bonnie were handing out pamphlets. "Tonight, night of the comet! Would you like a program?" Bonnie asked around as people grab it and walked away, then she turned to Elena and Marley. "Would you like a program? He didn't call, huh?"

Elena looked at her. "Or text. But I realized we never even exchanged that stuff. We've never gotten to the texting part."

"Shame." Marley comment.

"That's an important milestone in any relationship." Bonnie added.

Elena sighed. "Isn't it? The timing is wrong, anyway."

"When is it ever right?" Bonnie asked her friend.

"I agree with her." Marley added.

"I'm not ready, Bonnie, Marley." Elena replied to them.

Bonnie looked at her. "Who is?"

Elena sighed. "At least I put myself out there."

Marley snored. "Really?"

"Is that what you're calling it?" Bonnie added.

Elena looked at them. "What do you mean?"

"All I'm hearing is reasons why you can't." Bonnie replied to her.

"Couldn't have said it better myself." Marley comment.

Later, Jeremy walked inside of the Grill and asked at everyone. "Hey, has anyone seen Vicki?"
